leaking brake line or master cylinder..?

It sounds like a bad master cylinder. Years ago these could be re-built, but with the newer ones, they must be replaced. By pumping the brakes, you build up pressure which prevents the piston in they master cylinder from leaking, cut after sitting, the seals leak again. A good mechanic will be able to tell if it is the master cylinder or not.

To disable the automatic shoulder harness on a 1995 Mercury Villager, you can remove the fuse associated with the seatbelt system. Its in the fuse box under the dash with the other fuses.

If you mean the reset button on top of the FUEL PUMP SHUT OFF SWITCH the

switch is located in the drivers footwell , behind the kick panel , by your left

foot ( there is an access hole ) on a 2000 Mercury Villager

Looking from the front the automatic transaxle fluid dipstick is just to the

left of the engine coolant reservoir

Don't do it, get a code reader or take it to someone that has one. You risk damaging the computer if you short the wrong connections.

Power windows normally use a breaker, not a fuse.

Timing is set by the PCM and is not adjustable. The distributor should always be reinstalled in the same position it was removed from.

In the ceiling housing for the rear A/C.

For the motor. It should be the big black box directly behind the battery. Should have two or three clamps you can pop open with your finger to open it. You pull the top back and slide your filter out.

If you mean the cabin air filter, it is located under the windshield on the passenger side. You have to remove your wiper arms, the trim piece under your wiper blades. Than open your hood. You should see the filter which is like 1 1/2 feet long. Remove the bolts across the top and pull the cabin filter out. Reverse to reinstall. Hope this helps.

The knock sensor is in the engine V under the intake manifolds and coolant crossover pipe. As it requires considerable disassembly and an expensive new gasket set to reach it, I suggest you make very sure there is something wrong with it first. You will have to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds and coolant crossover pipe assembly to reach it. Just because you are receiving a trouble code for it does not mean there is anything wrong with it. This sensor shares a circuit with other components that often will set a "ghost" trouble code.

Under the dash, at the extreme right near the passenger kick panel.

The front "bumper" is a one-piece urethane cover over an energy absorbing beam. There is not really anything to adjust. If it is out of alignment the vehicle was probably in an accident.

My Haynes book says when changing fluid, drain Pan At Plug. and then measure drained quantity. then add same amount of Dexron III or Mercon Fluid. Normal service situation, will be approx 4 qts, I suggest add 3.5 Qt, Test drive check fluid should read 1/2 to 1 qt Low cold, Drive 20 miles to bring transmission fluid up to normal temp then recheck and top to full mark, don't overfill!! A completely dry transmission and torque converter will be 8.8 to 10 Qts If the torque converter was just changed (empty) then you need add 4 qt ,run engine 10 seconds then shut off engine, this allows torque converter to pump 2 qt into tq. converter, add 2 qt, run 10 sec a second time, repeat 2 qt rthen short engine run to avoid overfilling the pan, fluid will spill out the transmission air vent and on the ground because it only holds a little more than 4 qt. Normally full 4 quarts are in the pan the rest is in the torque converter and lines and hoses.

Tip: Better 1/2 qt low than 1/2 qt over full. (P.S.) when you drain the pan the torque converter still has about 5 Qts you can add some later,

None. Engine timing is set by the PCM, you can not change it with a timing light.
