If you mean the fuel level sensor it's in the fuel tank.

If you have a dead misfire you will have a flashing check engine light. If you notice any misfiring at all you need to address the issue immediately, as a misfire will ruing your catalysts and possibly damage the engine fairly quickly.

Probably one of two reasons: either the sender is bad, or the thermostat is stuck open. Anything else is unlikely.

Standard brake removal and installation.

Tools required: Jack and jack stands Tire iron Socket set with 'Torx' or 'star-drive' bits. Screwdrivers C-Clamp (or something to push the caliper back in) band-aids and neosporin.

Procedure overview: Remove cap from brake fluid reservoir, block rear tires, loosen (but don't remove) lug nuts, jack up the car and place jack stands for safety (you don't want 3,000+ lbs. of van landing on you). Remove lug nuts and wheels. Remove the caliper mounting bolts and detach the caliper from the steering knuckle. Use C-clamp to push the piston into the caliper. Use a screwdriver to remove the old pads. Installation is the reverse of removal. When done, step on the brake pedal a few times, and check brake fluid level, filling as necessary.

More backround several hoses & thermostats have been installed and the engine was rebuilt once when my wife didn't turn it off fast enough. Radiator wasrebuilt. Has 30 K miles without much problem, then overheated.

To disable the factory alarm on a 2000 Mercury Villager, put the key in the ignition and turn it halfway. Let it stay in the spot for 10 minutes and start the car.

It is easier and cheaper to replace the entire axle. About $80.

Take it back to who tuned it up, ask them if they cleaned the throttle body. Ask then if they gapped the plugs before they put them in. Did they put the sparkplug wires back on tight? Take it back and tell them you are not happy with their work and don't take it from them until it is right. Ask for a copy of EVERYTHING they did in their tune up. egr valve or eps sen

It is possible that you got a defective coil. It happens. However, the ignition system test outlined in my Haynes Repair Manual covers about two pages. I suggest your next trip to the parts store should be to pick up such a manual.

abs is for anti lock brakes not starting

The turning radius of a Mercury Villager may depend on the year in which it was made. The turning radius is 38.7 feet for vehicles made during the 1993-1998 period.

if the lights inside your van dont turn on as well that means your alternator fuse is blown, headlights and taillights will work but the car wont start until you replace the fuse. fuse is located in the engine bay at the front area by the radiator.

Easiest thing to do is buy a Haynes or Chilton shop manual a read up on it. Short version is siphon the tank, disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connection and remove the fuel tank. The pump/fuel gauge sender is inside the tank. Oh don't forget to put out your cigarette before you start. Could get messy.

This is not a job for a novice as much can be harmed when working with the printed circuit etc. Take it to a garage.

The center seat is removable, after which the rear seat can be slid forward.

With key on engine off 23-31 psi
With engine idling 13-20 psi

Under ignition coils

If by the clock you are talking about the one on the radio it is very simple.

1st> press and hold in the clock button for about 5 seconds

2nd> while still holding in the clock button press the SEEK button for the hours and the SEARCH button for the minutes.

3rd> release the clock button and you are all set

On a 1996 Mercury Villager , 3.0 liter V6 engine :

Just unclamp hoses, pull them off, and put a new one on.

i don't have an answer, but am wondering if you have found the answer. Answer remove the plastic cover ob the piller B. And disconnect the connection for seatbelt motor

I have no experience with a villager, but assuming that mercurys are somewhat similar it may help you to know how I took the door panel off of my Sable. There were 4 crutial screws to remove. Two were in the side of the panel closest to where the seat belt hangs. One was on the side closest to the hinge, about midway up the panel. The final screw was in the bottom of the pocket just bellow the handle that you use to pull the door closed (incidentaly this is the hardest on to get back in when you put it back together). Once you have removed all the screws you have to pry a section far enough from the metal of the door that you can fit your fingers behind it.

Here comes the ugly part, the panel is atached to the door with nonreversable plastic annular snaps. You have to pull hard enough to yank them out of the sockets they fit into. This means that they are now effectivly broken. They are designed to be slided out and replaced every time the panel is removed. While I'm sure you can get new ones at just about any auto-parts store, you can reuse the same one if you are carefull removing the panel. The trick is to figure out were they are as you move along the edge, put you hand as close as possible to them, and pull with a quick strong jerk so they pop out quickly and turn ruin the ribbing.

Some final considerations while removing the panel. You need to pull the handle (as if you were opening the door) so it is sticking out from the interior of the door more than laying along it. Carefull of the lock sticking through the top of the panel, you don't want to forget and bend the rod when you pull the panel away. Last, remember that all the wireing is still atached behind the door (this is probably what you were after anyway) so you can't just pull the panel off and set it down some place.
