Sometimes what others may seem as others copying them is just everyone following the same trending things that are in at the time. Other times it may be others that admire someone else and those people should be flattered. There is nothing wrong with "copying" as people think and really is a petty thing to be worried about. Instead of worrying about what others are doing around you be worried about yourself. It's not just teenagers, but many of them do copy there friends as they feel they need to do this to fit in, or follow trends, or a basic answer, they might just want to be like the person or peoples they are following. Also, coping as you call it, but a more likely term "behaving the same way," is a sign of becoming more intellectually aware of the people aruond you and the way you act around others.
