Since the moon constantly circle the earth, the tidal "wave" follows the moon around .

We get extra high tide when other planets in our system lines up with the moon.

To be specific Peter did not betray Jesus but 'denied' him three times. A fine point but a valid one nonetheless. At Matthew 26:34 Jesus states that Peter will 'deny' him three times. The Greek word used here is 'aparneomai' which carries the idea to "deny utterly, to abjure, affirm that one has no connection with a person." (Vines)

When speaking of Judas betrayal in the same chapter, this time verse 21, the Greek word 'paradidomi' is used which literally means 'to give over.' So in this particular sense it carries the idea "to deliver over treacherously by way of betrayal." (Vines)

Having those points of clarification in mind we can also find the answer of what was Peter's reaction to his denial of Jesus in this same chapter of Matthew, the very last verse 75: "And Peter called to mind the saying Jesus spoke, namely: "Before a cock crows you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly."

Jesus calls us to be forgiving. Joseph took revenge on his brothers and caused his father pain. But in the end Joseph could forgive his brothers because he trusted God. This trust helped him know that God would bring good out of all that had happened.

During Jesus's time in Israel, some of the most commonly used crops would have been wheat, barley, olives, grapes, figs, dates, lentils, chickpeas, beans, and cucumbers. I was curious about this myself, but not having access to a map I turned to the Book of Ezra, chapter 7. (Old Testament) which in part is the story of Ezra and some other Jews returning to Jerusalem from the Persian Empire area after the Babylonian Captivity. The journey took 4 months. Since Bethlehem is only 4-6 miles from Jerusalem the journey from Persia to Bethlehem still remains a 4 month journey. The distance is approximately 1000 miles.

Yes, the great commandment to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself, is seen by many as summarizing the entire moral law, including the Ten Commandments. Jesus himself taught that all the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

i think that the word "power" occurs in the new testament for about 122 times and if i am correct it does not always occur as spelled but with how it works on certain people. like the apostle Paul, he didn't say he had power but he did say that it was the power of God or the power that God gave him that he was able to do some of miraculous things like healing and helping a blind see and a lame walk again.

Well, let's think of the Gospels like different colors on our palette. The order of length of the Gospels, from longest to shortest, is Matthew, Luke, Mark, and John. Each Gospel brings its own unique perspective and beauty to the canvas of the Bible. Just as each color is important in creating a masterpiece, each Gospel plays a special role in telling the story of Jesus.

There is no information in the Bible or any contemporary source as to what happened to John after the death of Jesus. Many imaginative Christian traditions sprang up in the second and third centuries about the travels and martyrdoms of all the disciples, including John, but there is no proof to support any of these traditions.

A popular tradition about John is that Emperor Domitian ordered him brought as a prisoner to Rome and thrown into a vat of boiling oil. John was unharmed by the boiling oil, and he was eventually exiled under guard in Patmos. Not only is the alleged episode of the boiling oil entirely implausible, the alleged exile proves it to be so. If John was immune to harm, as shown by his escape from the boiling oil, he could scarcely have been restrained by armed guards, who also would have been totally unable to harm him. The tradition links John to Patmos because the Book of Revelation was written by a person called John, and this journey was necessary in order to identify the apostle John with the author of Revelation.

So, not only was John never boiled in oil, the Bible does not even claim that he was.
