The answer is in your owner's manual. Specifically, "After replacement, push and hold the "OFF" button for the front air conditioning for more than 4 seconds to reset the air filter clogging data. The "A/C FILTER RESET" appears on the multi-information display and a tone sounds to inform you that the data has been reset."
disconnect battery and wait a half hour, then pull fuse number ten, on left side of dash panel. you need a number 30 torx bit and a skinny extension and remove two screws on backside of steering wheel.pull horn cover slowly out and remove black ground wire and red horn wire, twist, and then use a small screwdriver and release losk tab and then gently pry up on connector. handle air bag module carefully.
Whenever you service the theft system you must do a relearn. Here is what you need to do. This is just a simple procedure that is going to reset the passlock system.

OFF.The problem is the plastic parts integral to the airbag/horn unit in the steering column. The plastic bits contract when cold and cause the horn's switches to contact. Once it starts, the only solution is to replace that assembly, costing around $800. Good times. Sometimes it will turn off when warm, like in the dealers garage, so the problem cannot be replicated, and then the car wakes up the entire neighbourhood at 3am again until you pull the fuse. I have same problem. Relay overheats. Did you find an answer?
You might also have a bad switch. Temp sensor should be o.k. if the engine temp. goes and stays at normal and the upper and lower heater hoses are hot.
A cigarette lighter fuse is normally a 15 or 20 amp fuse depending on what other accessories are using that circuit. I doubt that it is a 30 amp fuse. Maybe someone installed the wrong fuse.
How do I take the back panel off
The strong fuel smell could possibly be coming from the evap canister from inside the engine compartment. If the canister is not purging at the correct intervals than it will back up into the engine compartment and even possibly stall after awhile.
You either have a short in the wiring somewhere or you're using a smaller amp fuse than required.

Usually a car you are still driving cannot be included in a chapter 7 unless it is turned back into the finance company because it is considered an asset that, if sold, could help pay off your other debts. If you do not include it in the bankruptcy, you are under the same obligation to make payments and if you don't then the car gets repo'd.
If you file for bankruptcy the first thing I would do is talk to your lawyer about the options open to you if you want to keep your car.
P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire
Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues
Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM
The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.
It is responsible for all turn signals, there is relay inside this button. Some Aleros have bad flash relays and it is replacing in dealer centre for free.
The source of the water is probably from faulty or failed window seals surrounding your front & rear windsheilds.
No, a wheel bearing should not set off a low tire pressure light in a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero.
You can buy the whole fuel pump kit with it on it,,, it cost me 243.00
You will need to buy a new wheel hub assembly from your local auto parts store. you will also need a 36 mm socket in additional to the usual tools. I also found that a wheel puller is helpful(but not necessary) you should be able to rent one from your local auto parts store for a refundable deposit.
Take off the wheel.
Remove all break components.
remove 36 mm axle nut.
remove the 3 bolts holding the hub on and unplug the wires from it.
here is where I used the wheel puller to take off the hub. You may be able to remove it using a hammer. (A wheel puller is a lot easier.)
Put the new one on and reconnect everything.
Keep these directions handy so you can do it again next time the bearings go out.
Read your owner's manual. If it does not have a dipstick, then it is a sealed for life transmission. You cannot check the fluid level.
That was an ignor.answer, the right answer is:look under the frontside of the tranny for a plug ,take it out level the car an crank it then put it in neurtal, fill it until it starts coming out of the plug hole, the fill cap is down in the drivers side of the eng.,its red, under the exaust crossover pipe.
