Four years make up an Olympiad, but, every two years there is an Olympics. What I mean about that is we just had the London 2012 Summer Olympics so two years later we will have the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia, then two years later we will have the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Gandea and so and so fourth. As you see there was a two year distance between the Summer and Winter Olympics, but there still was a four year distance between the summer Olympia's!!:)
