Why do you eat pancakes on fat Tuesday?
Pancakes are traditionally eaten on Fat Tuesday, also known as Shrove Tuesday, as a way to use up rich ingredients like eggs, milk, and sugar before the fasting period of Lent begins. This day was historically a time for indulgence and feasting before the more austere practices of Lent. The practice of consuming pancakes specifically has become a cultural tradition in many places, symbolizing the last chance to enjoy these luxuries before the season of sacrifice.
How do you safely store flour and pancake mix to avoid mold?
I think you can store it in the original bag, then inside one or more ziploc freezer bags. Or inside an airtight plastic freezer container and THEN inside your freezer.
I don't think it will really freeze......just keep it fresh and clean and safe.
Just label and date it so you know what it is!
Keeping it in the refrigerator works just. The cold temperature also keeps the mealy bugs from hatching. and yes all flour has mealy bug eggs in it.

What is the difference between creps American pancakes and westpancakes?
A crepe is a very thin pancake very popular in France and Belgium that is often topped or wrapped and filled (similar to a burrito) with either sweet (chocolate, ice cream, fruits) or savory (vegetables, meats) foods. The American pancake is specifically a breakfast food and often eaten with butter or fruit and syrup. The west pancake, more commonly known as the Belgian waffle, is eaten in a similar way to American pancakes but is usually thicker, harder, crispier, and made into a grill pattern on the top and bottom.

No. Pancake syrup is basically sugar, could give stomach upset if too much is ingested. However, many Vets recommend giving a drop on the tongue of a little dog who is hypoglycemic to get sugar levels up, and adding a teaspoon of dark kayro syrup to the dog's water to help relieve constipation.

blood pancakes are pancakes smothered in dog or cat blood and dipped in syrup.
I will have to disagree with the above answer, but it is humorous to say the least. However a full explanation can be found on Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_pudding.
And a Finnish recipe:
4 dl blood*
4 dl milk
4 dl barley flour
1 egg
1 tbs dark syrup
½ tsp salt
dash of white pepper
dash of marjoram
butter for frying
Then using a frying pan or similar and the cook them like traditional pancakes. They are usually served with lingonberry sauce. This is not a kosher meal. The blood is usually comes from farm raised animal stock when they are slaughtered. Therefore, I would assume that laws governing the welfare and treatment of domestic animals would apply. This type of traditional meal has been around for ages. I think it ranks up there with corn beef and cabbage as a stable meal.
