How long does it take by plane to get to Jakarta from Dubai?
5 hours by plane It does depend where you are flying to, south or North Cyprus. Flights to North Cyprus take around six hours, including a very brief touchdown in Turkey en route. A new airline has just started operating to North Cyprus called Pegasus Airways (see http://www.cyprus44.com/flights/pegasus.asp) which offer a cheaper alternative to the national airline CTA. Flights to south Cyprus airports (Larnaca or Paphos) generally take between four and five hours (five max.) You can choose between cheap charter flights to south Cyprus from airlines such as XL (http://www.xl.com) or scheduled flights with British Airways (http://www.ba.com). If you are visiting North Cyprus, you can still fly on a cheap flight to north Cyprus, and then get a transfer to the border with North Cyprus, or even beyond to your accommodation. Budget around £40 for a taxi to Nicosia.

Why people would be against construction of Disneyland Paris?
I have not been made of aware of this event until now, but people may be a bit upset because Disneyland was the first Disney Park and people may believe it is not to be reconstructed. I personally would not mind if they rebuilt Disneyworld for it is a great park, but Disneyland was the first and last park ever finished by Walt Disney himself, so people may believe it should not be duplicated. Maybe not even Disneyworld. But I would thoroughly enjoy a Disneyisland or a Disneycountry. Anyway, that's my best guess. Just the emotional link some people have to the original Disneyland. I've never been, but although the rides are not as great as Disneyworld it is known to be a much better experience. Anyway, hope I could help!
No, sorry, quite wrong. The objection to Disneyland Paris was that it was not French. It was seen as a piece of coca-colonization, and indeed the builders rode roughshod over local sensibilities. They built almost an exact copy of Disneyland, even to the restaurants. There aren't enough seats, said the locals they employed to build them. Oh, yes, there are, said Disney. They knew very well how many seats are required in a restaurant that serves a meal in twenty minutes. Of course, on the first day, French people flocked into the restaurants at twelve o'clock precisely, got their food, and sat down for two hours. That's the French way. They had to be rebuilt with five times as many seats. in many other ways, Disney would not listen. They started hiring only good-looking people, which is Disney policy but illegal in France. To this day, most of the visitors are not French.
What is the importance of Eiffel Tower?
Eiffel realised that the height of the tower could be utilised as an observatory. In 1889, he started using the peak of the tower as an observation station for the measurement of the wind speed. Other scientists also conducted experiments at the tower. Subsequent to experimentation in the sphere of meteorology, Eiffel began to observe the relationship and the effects of wind and air resistance. This science was later on classified as aerodynamics, which has now become an essential part of military and commercial aviation as well as rocket technology. In 1910, Gustave Eiffel achieved extraordinary results in measuring the wind resistance of a flat plate by using the Eiffel Tower as a test platform. To overcome the lack of available measuring instruments, Eiffel proceeded on to a quest for more sophisticated knowledge of aviation which ultimately led to wind tunnel experiments. In order to safeguard the tower from wear and tear, huge maintenance work is essential. This programme includes applying 50 to 60 tonnes of three graded tones of paint once every seven years to protect against rust. At each occasion when it is required to paint, the shade of paint is changed. Currently, the tower is painted with a shade of brownish-grey - the darkest layer is painted on the top which gets lighter towards the bottom. The Eiffel Tower has played a role in communication since the first decade of the preceding century. French radio, though regular transmission was started in 1922, maintained an aerial on the tower, and began transmissions from the tower in 1918. For FM (Frequency Modulation) and TV transmission, the Eiffel Tower has been an important platform since 1957. Lee de Forest, a French engineer and scientist who wanted to pioneer wireless telephony, broadcasted a phonograph record show from the Eiffel Tower on January 12, 1908, for an audience of less than 50 people; the show was heard over 500 miles from the tower. This occasion is marked as the first ever experience of long-distance radio message transmission. Eiffel Tower also has the distinction of being an active part of the first transatlantic and transcontinental radio telephone call. On October 21, 1915, radiotelephone communication was made between Naval radio station NAA at Arlington, Virginia and the Eiffel Tower.
