What is the possibility of being paroled if you are being reviewed in September 2009 in Rhode Island?

It would depend heavily on several variables:

* How much time the offender has served. * How that time has been served: how many disciplinary actions have been served on the offender. * The nature of the crime. * The level of remorse demonstrated by the offender. * The level of family and close relation support the offender has. * The potential for employment upon release. * Potential living arrangements during parole (considering also the crime and proximity of potential addresses to any victims of that crime). * Victim/Witness opinion. * Any perceived benefit by the offender to the facility where the offender is housed currently. (Yes, this is considered before releasing offenders-I have known two offenders who served more than ten years each after possible parole dates because the services they performed for the facility were deemed of greater need than any the offender had related to release.) * Whether the offender has completed sufficiently any required programs: i.e. school, rehabilitative service such as AA or drug counseling). * Clearance by Psych Services. * Available placement with a Parole Officer in the area to which the offender hopes to parole. * And, finally, the whims of the Parole Board and the Rhode Island Department of Corrections. These considerations are actually typical for every state in the US, and others could be specific to individual states. If you are the family member of an incarcerated person whom you are attempting to assist in securing parole, and you need assistance, contact one of the advocacy groups that are active in this process such as CAPPS, or American Friends. Where is the list of people on probation in Texas?

There technically no list of people that are on probation. There is a database that resides with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Community Justice Assistance Division but it is not accessable by the common citizen. Every Judicial District has its own Community Supervision and Corrections Department (Probation).

Yes, in some states. You can also release on parole a day before your discharge date, which is a more common practice for the Departments of Correction. This way, in states that permit it, the DOC can keep you on a leash for 1-10 years longer, or for a lifetime in the states that permit lifetime parole.

Might depend on where you live but here in Reno they use a Dipstick test, which i think is pretty standard, but it tests for Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opiates (heroin), PCP, and last and least benzodiazepines. Drink LOTS of water :P
Niacin and Cranberry Pills
Vinegar
Juice with acidity :p

What will happen if you got in trouble before you got on probation but had to do for days in jail on your probation?

If you got into criminal trouble before you were on probation. You would be in jail and not on probation. Probation is for if you are not in jail. They can't happen at the same time.

Unless, you are picked up while on probation, but that would be a violation of your probation which we would be very quickly revoked.

Added: The question is worded very unclearly. Probation is a sentence for being found guilty of a criminal offense for which you were charged and brought to court.

It is a very lenient sentence, but it IS a sentence nonetheless.

If you violate the provisions of your probation you can be taken into custody for VOP and the judge will make a decision as to whether or not you will be punished for the VOP and, if so, in what fashion.

If you re-offend (commit another offense while released on probation) you will have your probation revoked AND you will be charged with the new crime.

Will Louisiana grant a release from parole if you are behind on your monthly payments when you have reached your full time date?

This question is a bit confusing, but I will do my best to answer. I am not certain what you mean by "monthly payments." If this is victim or restitution fees, court costs, fines, or other matters related to your sentencing, you are likely to be released, but the remaining fees will be referred to a collection agency. It is possible too that your parole could be extended until unpaid fees are paid in full. If this is costs associated with your parole, such as supervision fees, tether fees, or vehicle equipment installation cost (breathalizer), you may be required to pay them before you are released. The reference to "full time date" has me a bit thrown. If by this you mean your conditional release date, the date your parole is projected to end, well nothing is certain. If by this you mean the discharge date of your original sentence, this is a bit more certain, and to have parole extended beyond this date, the parole officer, potentially the parole board and State's Attorney General would probably have to motion the original sentencing judge or the supervising judge of the court in which you were sentenced to extend your sentence. The simple solution is to pay the debt and avoid the mess altogether.

If sentenced 3.5 how long before parole?

Sentencing in every state is communicated in the same way, first a minimum then a maximum. The minimum is a matter of established state sentencing guidelines. The maximum is a matter of state statute.

Say the minimum is 3.5 years, provided there is not a possibility for good time credit, you will serve 3 1/2 years before you will be eligible for parole.

Does probation time stop when a warrant is issued?

If a warrant is issued for a violation of probation then the clock stops until probation is either reinstated or revoked in open court. If it is reinstated the amount of time between the violation and reinstatement will be added to the original probation period. Say you are on probation for 3 years and you are 16 months into your term and you violate the terms and ran for 4 months you would still have the 16 months remaining the 4 months would be what they call "dead time".

Speaking specifically for the state of Michigan, approximately 10,000 people are paroled from state prisons every year. This is about 27%, far below what state officials would have the public believe.

Indeterminate sentence provides a hearing by a sentencing review board after a minimum amount of years has been served.
