Why is it difficult to practice parole?
It is difficult, personally, for many individuals on parole to live under the conditions set for several reason. The two that stand out are a demonstrated difficulty with conforming to societal laws, and the tendancy to "live it up" upon release from incarceration. In reality, it is no more difficult, and actually less difficult, to conform to parole stipulations than to live under the restricted environment of incarceration.
Will a drug arrest from 20 years ago affect getting a liquor license in Illinois?
The real question should be: Were you convicted? Being arrested is one thing, going to court and being tried and convicted is something else. If you were convicted and have not been granted a Pardon, you will most likely be denied that licence, as a felon. Apply for a pardon, as soon as you can. Pardon may not have been the right word. In Illinios, if you are convicted of a felony, you will not be allowed to get a liquor license, period. Even if you go through the long, teadious task of trying to be "granted you rights" (ie. right to vote, right to bear arms), you will not be granted a liquor license. Take care.
Do you lose your right to leave the country if you are a felon who is off parole?

What is the resolution for overworked probation and parole officers?
If more probation officers are hired on, then the case loads will be smaller, but because it's "cheaper" by having one probation officer take the amount of work, that would take two officers to carry properly, they continue to load more cases onto the existing ones.
If the crime rate goes down, then there will be less of a need for prisons and jails, and for correctional officers, but that is less likely to happen. If more people are thrown back into jail for violating their probation, or let go on good behavior, a probation officers caseload will decrease significantly.
How much of a federal sentence must be completed before parole?
Generally, before any parole may be granted, the minimum sentence, less any administrative good time, must be completed. I am not familiar with any Federal Parole system. As I understand it, Federal time is calculated on a one for one basis; that is, for every day of time served with no administrative disciplines, the inmate earns one day off his sentence. Therefore, for a ten year sentence, the inmate may only have to serve five years.
Can you smoke k2 on probation and not get in trouble?
Yes, you can because K2 is synthetic weed, which makes no THC show up in your system.
What happens if you miss one day of adult probation?
If you miss one day of adult probation, it can lead to serious consequences. Typically, your probation officer may issue a warning or require you to attend a meeting to explain your absence. However, repeated violations or missing a significant number of appointments could result in a probation violation hearing, which may lead to penalties such as extended probation, increased supervision, or even incarceration. It's crucial to communicate with your probation officer if you anticipate missing any appointments.
If you are convicted of a felony can you still work for the federal government?
The below answer is not true. I have a felony and have a clearance. The government just wants you to be honest.
Yes, but you won't be able to get a security clearance. Many federal jobs require you to have and hold a security clearance.

That, in itself, is probably too minor an offense to warrant a return to jail. However, if the UIP offense was in addition to other charges that COULD change the picture. It's always best to check with your PO.
Is there a monthly fee for being on probation?
Usually there is not a monthly fee. There are fines that you have to pay and a lot of times they let you make minimum monthly payments. This also depends on the charges that you have and what the extent of probation is. They will tell you all of this at your first intake.
I am on probation and I am looking for a job.?
My advice is:
First of all realize that it's going to be tougher for you than the person with a clean slate.
Then, be open and honest about your past.
If you get a trial run, give it 110%
Get rid of any "attitude" - smile. accept criticism. control anger and bitterness.

Who do you contact after you graduate in order to get a job?
You need to contact as many people in management or Human Resources in the companies where you wish to get a job as soon as possible. Before you contact them, get a job application from the company and fill it out at home (if they will let you bring it home with you). Before you bring it back, make sure that the person who will be conducting the interview will be available to speak with you. Also, bring a copy of your resume, along with letter(s) of recommendation.
If the person who does the interviewing is not available when you get there, do not just leave your application, resume, and letter of recommendation with the receptionist. Tell her you will come back at a later time, and bring them with you again when you return. The one who does the hiring wants to be able to put a face with the application.
And be sure to dress appropriately for the interview, but don't over do it. If you are a woman, don't wear as much make-up as you would for a New Year's Eve party, be a little more conservative. If you are a man with no beard or moustache, be sure you are clean shaven; if you do have facial hair, make sure it is neatly trimmed.
During the interview, always look the interviewer in the eye while talking to them instead of looking at the floor, around the room, etc. This shows a sincere interest the job, and shows respect for the person interviewing you. And one more very important thing, unless the company has an add in the paper instructing you to do so, do not just fax, email, or snail mail your resume to the company.
When I was still working (office management), I never hired anyone who didn't care enough about the job to bother to come in person. And, once you have been in the job field for a while, it will not look good to have a lot of previous employers on your application; this indicates a lack of responsibility. I always called them "job hoppers" and never hired them. Also, never call the company on the phone and ask them if they are hiring; this is an indication of laziness to many employers.
If you are really sincere about finding a job, you need to spend the same number of hours every day looking for a job as you would working at a job you already have, so be prepared to "hit the pavement". And you do not have to contact only the companies who have advertised an open position. Actually, the best jobs I had were ones which had no position advertised - I made what I call "cold calls".
Make a list of the companies you would like to work for, then go there in person and apply for a position with them. That way, when a postion does become available, they will already have your resume and application on file. If, after a few weeks, you still have not had any response or calls from any of the places where you have applied, give them a courtesy call to let them know you are still interested in working for their company. This will let them know you are sincere about wanting to work; just don't over do it an make a pest of yourself or be pushy.
After you get an interview with the one who does the hiring, mail them a hand written note, thanking them for their time and the interview. This will serve several purposes: 1) It will let them know you are professional. 2) It will let them know you are serious about wanting to work there. 3) It will also be a bit of a reminder, keeping your name in the forefront.
