There is new legislation being proposed to address federal prison overcrowding. "The Good Time Bill," or Federal Work Incentive Act, proposes to establish a parole system for federal inmates (not serving life sentences).

It is not very likely. Yes, your mental illness may have contributed to your trouble with the law. However, you can't blame your poor decisions on your illness any more than you can blame them on your Mom or Santa Claus. Judges tend to give quite a bit of weight to the reports of PO's, especially if the PO has proven to be reliable and competently trustworthy in the past.
