Does critter out pest control work?
Natural enemies, sticky traps, and systemic insecticides are examples of pest controls which work. For example, the pesticide that does what it intends to do will drop pest populations to manageable levels (such as just enough aphids to keep ladybugs fed but not enough to threaten plant appearance or well-being) since treatments which aim to exterminate (such as the gypsy moth wars) generally have side effects and result in strengthened immunity by determinedly aggressive, invasive pests.

It is by accelerating internal growth that synthetic auxin kills weeds.
Specifically, a plant's life-sustaining energy is prioritized among a number of critical processes, such as flowering, leafing, rooting and shooting. A synthetic auxin occupies a plant's meristematic cells, which coordinate overall plant growth rates. A plant that grows too fast will have leaves that are lush and stems that are tall before either plant part is capable of supporting wider surface areas. The synthetic auxins in the herbicide 2,4-D will so overwhelm and weaken a plant that the weed will die from life-sustaining processes not being supported in the proper order.
They don't all works the same way. Most baits are stomach poisons & ingested when they eat it, Some dusts are the same & are ingested when they groom, some act on their nervous systems, some weaken & dry out exoskeletons (dessicants), some also clog up breathing tubes & some simply absorbed through their bodies.

You can't control bees. All you can do is make it easier for them to do what you want rather than what they are doing now. For example to stop bees flying across an area at low level, put up a fence so they have to fly over it.
A herbicide is a chemical (although could be any substance) that is phytotoxic to plant material.
In most cases herbicides are chemicals that are used in agriculture or horticulture to control aggressive plant species (such as weeds).
The can be divided into two broad categories: Selective and Non-selective.
Selective herbicides are ones that only work on certain types of plants, for example the most predominant group of selective herbicides target dicotyledonous plants, while leaving monocotyledonous plants relatively unscathed. A good example of this is that broadleaved weeds (mainly dicotyledonous plants), can effectively be killed in the middle of turf grass lawns - which are mostly monocotyledonous. MCPA based products are an example.
Non-selective herbicides kill all plant materials that they come into contact with mono or dicotyledonous (glyphosphate based products are an example).
Different herbicides have different mechanismsand actions and reactions which may cause the death of a plant, some disrupt metabolic functions within the cells, while others increase the metabolism and literally grow the plant to death.
If used correctly various types of salts can also be used as effective herbicides as they upset the osmotic potential surrounding the roots of plants and can cause them to dehydrate and die - although in most cases this does result in some "collateral damage" to surrounding plants.
no. Rock salt is normally used as a saltlick for animals.
If, by "in your house", you mean in a corner somewhere actually indoors, you can wait until evening (wasps are not active at night- will not fly) and spray it. If you do not want ot use insecticide inside- douse them w/ lots of spray cleaner (409, Clorox clean up- that kind of thing- you'd be surprised how effective ammonia and bleach are at killing insects)
If, however, you mean in a wall void of your house (ie inside walls)- call an exterminator. Really, there is no other choice (unless you live near a university w/ an entomology program- then they might do it to get the nest for display).
I am an urban entomologist, by the way.
