What is the osmotic pressure of pure water?
The osmotic pressure of pure water is 0. The osmotic pressure is relative to pure water, thus semipermeable membrane on both sides pure water does not have any movement of solvent.
Plankton supplies the world with 80% of its oxygen. Also, like any other organism, if they die out they mess up the ecosystem.
What is carr's index and how does it influence tablet preparation?
One important characteristic is tapped bulk density, or simply tapped (tap) density: that is, the maximum packing density of a powder (or blend of powders) achieved under the influence of welldefined, externally applied forces. The minimum packed volume thus achieved depends on a number of factors including particle size distribution, true density, particle shape and cohesiveness due to surface forces including moisture. Therefore, the tap density of a material can be used to predict both its flow properties and its compressibility (see right sidebar as to how). These are just two of the many parameters which are important in the overall tabletting process - which requires that loose powders be compacted into a durable solid form with the correct mechanical strength, porosity and dissolution characteristics – and in capsulefilling performance. Compressibility Index & Hausner Ratio The two most commonly used measures of the relative importance of interparticulate interactions are the compressibility index (often referred to as Carr’s Index [1]) and the Hausner ratio [2] (see right sidebar). “V” and “D” represent powder volume and density respectively, subscript “o” denotes the initial or untapped state and “f” the final or tapped state. In free-flowing powders the initial bulk and tapped densities will be more similar than in poor flowing powders which yield greater differences between the two values.
Are phytoplankton plants or animals?
Phytoplankton are neither plants nor animals. Phytoplankton are similar to plants, in that they contain chlorophyll and photosynthesize. However, phytoplankton are not in the plant kingdom. Rather, the term phytoplankton is used to describe any photosynthetic organism that drifts in the ocean (that is, they do not swim fast enough to control where they are in the ocean and are at the whim of the currents). Included in the phytoplankton are photosynthetic bacteria ("cyanobacteria") and photosynthetic single-celled eukaryotes. Photosynthetic organisms that are not plants can be referred to collectively as "algae".
Is there a phytoplankton or a zoo plankton that does not die?
No. It's a fact of life, everything dies.
Some examples of what eat phytoplankton include sea stars, shrimp, snails, whales, small fish, zooplankton, and jellyfish.
No: paper, when you have it and you're writing on it, is not alive, it is merely the product of a once-living tree.
How does phytoplankton help fight cancer?
ive heard two different stories: one is by word of mouth. supposedly the skeleton of plankton are so small and pointy (sharp) that when these skeletons passes through the body, via bloodstream, they chop up any unnaturaldiseases. they do not hurt the actual body because we are too big for the sharp skeletons to actually cause us harm.
the second, through reading on throughout the wed. supposedly plankton are a superfood; meaning they are entirely made up of vitamins, nutrients, and other holesome things our body needs. so there is no toxic to fuel cancer from growing. in addition they super heal the body, giving it a super dose of goodness to fight off the disease(s).
Algae is fairly easy to grow if you have fish in your aquarium. If you have a new tank though and your algae levels are very low then you want to get hardy fish to start out with. Remember, it is very likely that most of your starting fish will die unfortunately.
If there is more than one name on a judgment what would happen if you filed bankruptcy on it?
The other person becomes solely responsible, if one party has filed bankruptcy and is no longer responsible for it. If both parties file bankruptcy within a relatively short time of each other then neither of you will be responsible for the amount owed. * The exception would be if the judgment has been "perfected" as a lien against real property. In such a case the judgment creditor becomes a secured creditor and the judgment will not be dischargeable under bankrupcy law.
No plankton is not a plant it's just a small animal in the sea/ocean.
What do phytoplankton produce?
Oxygen, and lots of it.
They do this through the process of photosynthesis.
Using CO2, Sun Energy, and H2O are combined to make Glucose and Oxygen.
Oxygen.
Filter feeding Sharks, like the Basking Shark and the whale Shark eats plankton on purpose.
Other Sharks might get some by accident.
What is a cold water plankton called?
I assume that any kind of plankton is just plankton, no matter were it lives. But the kinds plankton that are animals are called zooplankton. The kinds that are plants are called phytoplankton. I hope that was helpful!
Is pangolin harmful to take care of?
pangolins can not be kepted as pets, only in zoos or in the wild. becaus if you tryed to pet one it wold pinch you with it's scale & that wold hurt!
