What qualifications are needed to become a pole dance teacher?
As of this writing, there are no qualification standards needed to become a pole dance teacher. In other words, anyone can hang up a shingle and offer pole dancing classes. However, you will probably want to do all that you can to ensure you offer safe, well-designed classes if you're thinking of becoming a pole dance instructor.
Certain gyms, fitness centers or pole dance studios may have their own standards or certifications they require of their instructors. Many offer apprenticeship or training programs as well so it's worth inquiring into this if you're interested in teaching.
At a minimum, it's probably a good idea to take a fitness certification course, as this will give you the basics of anatomy, safety and class design. You'll most likely be required to take CPR and first aid as part of a fitness certification program as well. Plus, you'll usually have access to affordable group insurance, which is important if you're going to be teaching.
Many countries have a national fitness certification organization where you obtain further information. Also, each province or state often has its own certifying body which you can usually contact by searching for "<name of state/province> fitness certification."
In addition to the fitness aspect of certification, obviously you'll also want to make sure you get adequate training in pole dancing, and that you have opportunities to practice your teaching skills.
This can be done by taking a course offered by a local pole dance studio, though not many yet offer this. There are also a few online certification options available. The most accessible training option for many potential instructors is probably to approach a local studio and inquire about a teaching apprenticeship.

How can i stop slipping off my pole when pole dancing?
There are a variety of grip aids out there that are designed to help you stick to the pole. A few brands are:
Tite Grip. This is my personal favorite. Tite Grip comes in the form of a thick, pink liquid and is designed as an anti-perspirant for your hands (or feet). A dime sized amount will prevent your hands from sweating excessively, and will last for 3-5 hours. I've used Tite Grip regularly at the club adn it does not show up under the blacklights.
Mighty Grip. I've had experience with this as well, although I prefer Tite Grip better. Mighty Grip comes in the form of a white powder and is designed to create a tacky surface on your palms. A few LIGHT sprinkles of the powder will give you a good grip. However, it does wash and wear off fairly easily, so you may find yourself re-applying it frequently. The powder disappears after you've applied it and will not show up under blacklights. I've used this at the club as well with no incident.
Dry Hands. We sell this at the fitness facility where I currently work. Dry Hands comes in the form of a clear liquid and a dime sized amount will prevent you from slipping. It washes and wears off fairly quickly, so again, you'll probably have to reapply it often but it works well for short term use.
Climber's Chalk. Climber's Chaulk is a great way to prevent slipping without using a bottled grip aid. Climber's Chalk can be found in the climbing section in any sports store and usually comes in its own little bag, which distributes the chalk onto your hands as you pat it lightly against your palms. It can be a bit messy (mainly from the chalk floating in the air as you pat), but works great. I enjoy using it for those tricky inverts.
Those are the top four grip aids that I recommend. There are tons of aids out there. You just have to find the one that works for you. Good luck!
Are there any strip clubs in Brussels?
The Brussels Red Light district (commonly referred to as "Aarschotstraat" or "Rue d'Aerschot" named after the street it's in) is located east of the Brussels North Railway station.
It is something really weird that people do, especially if it is Las Vegas style.
When someone dances sexually with a pole, usually in strip clubs. Now, pole dancing has been performed not just in any club but also in any party such as in Hen party. It's always been a perfect activity to spice up everything in your party.
or ....
Pole Dancing, in which a single dancer performs sensual, graceful, and acrobatic moves using a floor-to-ceiling metal pole as a support, began as an exotic dance performed in burlesque shows and strip clubs. In the past decade pole dancing has steadily gained acceptance as a form of exercise and personal expression and more recently, as a form of competitive acrobatic dance. The dance has traditionally been performed by women, but with the move out of strip clubs and into gyms - plus an increased emphasis on strength and difficulty - more men have been attracted to the practice.
How many calories does pole dancing burn?
As with any physical activity, the number of calories burned depends on a variety of factors including the duration and intensity of the activity, and the weight, age and gender of the participant.
A 130 pound woman performing very basic moves that elevate the heart rate only slightly will burn significantly fewer calories than a woman of similar weight and body composition who performs a continuous series of advanced tricks. A 180 pound man performing those same advanced tricks will burn calories at an even higher rate.
As a general guide, pole dancing at a beginner level, where few spins or tricks are involved, burns a similar number of calories per hour as a mild-moderate aerobic fitness class.
Intermediate level pole dancing, where spins and other airborne moves are interspersed with more basic moves, is roughly equivalent to a moderate-intense aerobic fitness class in terms of calorie burn.
And at an advanced level, such as that shown in the video referenced below, the number of calories burned per hour is obviously very high. At this level, pole dancing is both a cardio and strength workout, which places heavy demands on the body's energy systems and results in a high rate of caloric burn both during and after the workout. It would not be unreasonable to assume a rate of 800+ calories per hour at this level, assuming the activity could be sustained for this long!

What muscles are worked in pole dancing?
Although pole dancing has the potential to be an excellent total body workout, the specific muscles that are being worked, and how hard, really depends on what kind of moves you're doing on your dance pole.
When spinning and climbing, the muscles of the upper body are obviously being used to hold your body weight on the pole. Specifically, the lats (large muscles in your back), shoulders, biceps and forearm muscles are called into play with these types of moves.
The core muscles also play a very important role in pole dancing, particularly in inverted moves where the exit or transition from the move involves reversing the inversion in what is essentially a crunch using the forces of gravity as resistance.
Lower body strength is developed with moves that require primarily leg strength to hold yourself on the pole, such as hands-free poses on the pole.
Beginner level pole dancers who aren't yet ready for these more advanced moves can also get an excellent workout however. Many beginner level spins require considerable upper body and core strength, especially for someone who is new to this form of dance.
Even simple moves that don't require both feet to leave the ground can work the core and lower body muscles. This is because pole dancing is typically done in a relatively slow and controlled manner, which tends to help the dancer focus on muscle control and engagement.
There are also numerous exercises you can do on a dance pole to build strength in preparation for higher level moves. In other words, you can also use your dance pole as a workout tool to prepare you for more advanced moves.
Something important to remember about pole dancing is that even though it's a fun form of fitness, it's still a workout. Like all other dancers, pole dancers should make sure to warm up sufficiently before dancing, and particularly before attempting more advanced moves.
Overuse injuries, particularly in the shoulders, are fairly common in newer pole dancers. This is likely due to "too much, too soon," so it's important to pace yourself and to stop before you feel tired or sore. As with any workout routine, you will build strength over time and it's best to take a reasonable and gradual approach to avoid injury.
