How do you remove airbag on Porsche 996?
This can be dangerous. You are working with a lite explosive here & that needs to be respected. Unplug the battery if in-doubt. Find the back of the steering wheel. On the back side are two holes (one on the left & one on the right). A special TORX like bit will be required to remove the bolts that are in those holes and holding the air-bag in place. Once you loosen those bolts the air-bag will come off of the wheel. Then you will need to unplug the signal wire that goes to the bag.

On a 2000 Porsche boxster where is the emergency hood release?
there is usually a set of connections in the fuse box. My 911 has a little plug that pulls out and you connect a 12V back up battery to unlock the hood.
Use a spare battery or a vehicle battery (with engine off).
Difference between Porsche carrera s and carrera 4s?
The difference between the Porsche carrera s and carrera 4s, is that the s is RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) and the 4s has AWD (All Wheel Drive). Expect higher dynamics with an 4 x 4 car, but the more enthusiastic says the pure carrera must be RWD.

Why is Porsche battery dead when it sets for a long time?
Every battery over time will go dead and this is normal. A long time depends how long and the type of battery ... Also, the more accesries that you have needing current while not in use, ie : clock, alarm etc ... will help drain the battery quicker ! You should have a trickle charger to always keep the battery charged to full capacity or atleast once a month or 2 use the vehicle or atleast run it up for 30 minutes at an rpm of atleast 1500 ! I use a stick to jam the gas pedal !
Good luck !

How do you change Porsche cayenne battery vehicles?
You need to pull the driver seat as well as the subframe that holds the seat before you can get to the old battery. Pretty obvious Porsche wants you to take it to one of their dealers, since the also made this whole operation more difficult by using bolts that have a proprietary 16 point star head. I used an 8mm Allen wrench, but still stripped one of the bolts. Some Cayennes also have a second battery that is mounted in the back by the spare tire. I have had nummerous problem with my Cayenne and wish I had never bought it, this battery situation is just another example of why this is a terrible car to own.
2. There are 2 screws, under two plastic plates, at the base of the driver seat, in the front of it. You need a 10 star bolt (in 12). After you pull out the screws, the driver seat wobbles to the back and release the battery....in a Cayenne S, it is a 110 A (520 Ah DIN 850A).
3. I found 8 screws total. 4 under the plastic that covers the tracks. Once you remove the seat bolts you'll need to remove the sub frame that the seat is mounted on by removing the 4 screws that hold it to the body. Lay the seat on the back seat and the battery comes right out. Since I'm a novice it took me 1.5 hours. Make sure you don't use an Allen wrench and go buy or borrow the correct tool. I wanted to thank who ever posted the orignal post. Because I probably wouldn't have been able to replace the battery on my own. I hear the dealerships charges approximately $400.00 in labor to do so.
Where is location of O2 sensor on 2000 Porsche Boxster?
There are 4 oxygen sensors, 2 on each side. One is upstream of the catalytic converter on each side, and one is downstream on each side. They're easily accessed by jacking up the car on the side you want to work on and removing the rear wheel (using a jack stand naturally). They are occasionally difficult to remove but gentle application of heat around the mounting boss helps a lot.
What is the specific difference between a 2005 Porsche carrera and carrera s?
wider body, better resale
How can you tell the difference between a Porsche 911 Carrera 2 and a 911 Carrera 4?
it depends on what generation it is, on 964, 993 and 996 models, there is little evidence externally other than a 'carrera 4' badge opposed to the simple 'carrera' badge on the carrera 2. Some 964 cars were fitted with a widebody on the carrera 4, but this is a rare option. on the latest 997 variety, the carrera 4 has a wider rear stance, (44mm) over the standard carrera and carrera s. This wider rear shell also features on the turbo, gt2, and gt3 rs(the standard gt3 has the slim shell.)
How much oil does the 1980 Porsche hold?
A 1980 Porsche 911 SC with a 3.0L flat six motor holds about 11 quarts of oil. I would use a nice 20/50 oil. Make sure to check your oil only after your engine is up to operating temp and the engine is running. Don't check it while the engine is cold and off...
