black smoke from the exhaust may suggest the engine is running rich, meaning there is too much fuel entering the engine. The black smoke is unburnt fuel leaving the exhaust. There are a few different reasons this might happen, start off with a good service using the correct oil and be sure to replace the air filter as it may be partially blocked. if this does not fix it you may requir a replacement mass airflow sensor. another reason may be the injectors. This is all presuming you havent made any modifications to the engine or ECU.

All I could find was the capacity in Liters, not sure if you're in the US or elsewhere. But there is at least one confirmed source of it being 80 liters, which is approximately 21 gallons.

Filling mine up from about 1/2 of a tank was 10.4 gallons, so 21 gallons does sound about right.

I would recommend against it, with both vehicles' performance specifications differing. If i can recall, a 997 S uses calipers from the Porsche 911 turbo, which is drastically different from the standard 997.

I had the same problem with my Boxter when the battery went dead. I called the Porsche dealer and he offered me a suggestion that worked great, Go to a auto part store and buy a small battery that plugs into your cigarette lighter for the purpose of starting cars when batteries are dead. Leave it plugged in for about 20 minutes and it gives you enough charge to open your hood latch. Make sure your door is open when you go to pop the latch, as I was sitting in my car with the door closed and trying to figure out why it wasnt working. Now I always keep one charged in my glove box.
