What is society's view on prisoners?
I know how I feel about it. I participate in Society, I am not the whole of Society. Prisoners should have rights too. Yes, they commit crimes, some worse than others. Why do they commit crime? What lead them to that decision? Is it drug and alcohol related? There really is no excuse for crime, however, if you dig deep enough, you will discover a reason for the crime/s. There is always a reason! I agree that they have an education whilst in prison. Any assistance / support to help them make better choices on release is a positive. We need more support for prisoners when they are released. A parole officer is not support!

How much time do you serve in prison on six month sentence?
It is not likely you would receive a six month prison sentence on the state level. There are several states, such as Wisconsin, where if the judge does not specify a place of incarceration, the conviction is automatically a felony, and you would be required to serve this time in a prison environment. Chances are you would not leave quarantine, and you would serve six months.

Do black men receive longer prison sentences than white men for the same crimes?
+ It is very unfortunate, that there is no outcry among African Americans for what is going on. I personally know of men who smoked marijuana at one time but stopped...but because they associated at one time or another with someone who did, they are serving 15 to 20 years in prison. Judges are able to do this through what is called "Conspiracy Charges". When you get a conspiracy charge, they (the feds) collect as much marijuana or cocaine as they can and charge each person they've arrested with that exact amount of drugs. It does not matter whether you personally ever even saw the marijuana or not. You are charged and sentenced as though you personally sold it. This action is legal because whites have made it legal, thus making it possible to imprison a huge number of black men for long periods of time and not one family member can do anything about it.
+
+ Is it just? No, but then the Justice System has a horrendous history of allowing lynchings and rapes against blacks to go on in America without one arrest. So it is no wonder that it continues to be unjust in it's sentencing of blacks today.
Answer:It depends on which country you are in, in America there may be some evidence supporting this theory. In the United Kingdom the reverse is true, with white people regularly getting significantly longer sentances than black people for similar violent crimes. The reason for this is not certain, but some believe it is down to the privileged upper class judges and there ideological views (white people should know better).

I think so. It depends what she did. If she killed someone there would probably be more restrictions then if she was stealing because she might get violent. Its also depends whether the children want to see her. If they do then they might get to talk to her behind glass/ bars.
