I think you should talk to your daughter about puberty and especial the menstrual cycle as from what I know its very important for girls to know about that. Talking to her might help otherwise see a psychiatrist or sexual health education person I am shure they can help. During puberty there are a lot of emotional and social changes. This causes some people to become socially awkward and in turn isolate.

If you know about it properly then you can explain it to him yourself. You can give him the like to a website or too if you can find any (I'm sure there are some) that will inform him properly. You can ask your father or other adult male, or female if your comfortable to help you tell him about it, or you can go with him to see a adult such as your father for moral support, some people do/did find it an embarrassing thing to talk about and it might make him feel better to have you around.
