runny nose and fever are characteristic of either viral or bacterial infection. Since you mention rash, my best guess would be a bacterial infection. Some bacteria can infect the upper layer of the skin and then get absorbed in the blood stream. If the rash itches, it is most likely a bacterial infection. DONT SCRATCH. Take Ibuprofen (motrin or advil) for the fever, take cold medicine for the runny nose, purchase hydrocortisone with antibiotic ointment and CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR.

Answer Rashes are very hard to diagnose and will take a specialist to decide what is causing this rash. It could be anything from the detergent you are using in your clothing (also clothing softener during the rinse cycle) the soap you are using, or you have a food allergy or an allergy to a medication.

go and buy a topical cream for antifungal and keep the area dry and clean. Apply the cream 3x daily until gone

Antihistamines like Benadryl are the obvious solution to a problem with hives. A rash on your skin is your body's way of telling you that it's fighting something you're allergic to or something foreign on your skin. Nevertheless, try a homeopathic medicine called urtica urens first before giving antihistamines a shot. Get a 30c strength from the chemist and suck one twice a day-that should work within two or three days and might actually solve the problem. It's safe and free of any side effects.

if you are an adult and have already been exposed to chicken pox you can rule that out. the most common reason is heat rash/acne. it can happen even if you are not extremely hot, and doesn't always itch. some people just have sensitive skin. the best way to get rid of it is to try gold bond powder first. put it on your tummy everyday for a few days and see if it helps. if it doesn't and it feels like the spots are spreading or getting worse, ask a dermatologist to prescribe selenium sulfide. it is a wash that works very well for tiny acne bumps due to heat or irritation.

You can, but you're better off using Silvadene cream (Silver Sulfadiazine) as it's typically used in ER's and prescribed for both 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Works well, keeps the area moist and protected, helps promote fast healing (anti-bacterial properties)

Their urine is too acidic. If you are giving your child apple juice or orange juice then water it down or don't give it to them for awhile. You can use Lanocane to help calm the soreness and redness down or, put 1 full cup of Epsom salts into tempid bath water and have your child sit in that for 20 minutes to 1/2 an hour. Epson Salts is a wonderful thing (doesn't sting) and is good for bad sunburns as well. You may have to ask the druggist where the Epson Salts are in the store. Keep it handy! It's also good for aching muscles and sore feet.

Hydrocortizone cream is safe to put on a shingles rash. You can also get prescription Lidocane from you doctor to apply.

Avoid Benadryl as it can cause the rash to worsen in some people. Also avoid Bagbalm as it causes a burning sensation.

Unfortunately I had a rash, it was from an allergic reaction. The best way is to go to the doctors find out what has caused it and then take the cream/medicine (whatever) they prescribed you. It will go away in a few days. The best thing to do it not scratch. It's hard, but the thing is if it bleeds - nasty infection, don't want that (: And also it hurts and stuff afterwards so just try not to itch. Urmmm that's all the advice I can give.

I was prescribed triamcinolone acetonide to use WITH an over the counter anti fungal cream (like clotrimazole) to cure my athlete's foot. I was getting severe, scarring fungal infections that the anti fungal creams would not cure. The Triamcinolone stops the itching and burning, as well as the swelling which allowed the anti fungal cream to work much more effectively and quicker.

Irriation from your razor, it could be time for a new one, or better shaving cream, also you could be shaving too much.

I've seen a few via internet searches, and I personally have had reactions to Polypropylene, so I know firsthand that it can happen. I haven't had a formal allergy test yet though.

Allergic reactions to Meds are tricky. Obviously its best to consult a Physician ASAP for their opinion. My daughter had a reaction to ammoxicilin and it took a few days for the swelling and rash to go away. The medicine stays in your system longer then you realize. Some people need steroids to reduce swelling and an antihistamine like Benydryl. Its safe to say that you need to give it a few days for the fluid of the swelling to go away and back to normal. Keep antihistamines in your purse (or if a guy, in your pocket or vehicle at all times.) Benadryl is the best and for adults two caps (25 mgs. each) are what you should take. It takes only 10 to 15 minutes for the swelling to go down, but if you've left it for a long time it may take longer. DO NOT DRIVE A VEHICLE OR MACHINERY WHILE TAKING ANTIHISTIMINES. Benadryl is given in hospitals (I know because I had a reaction to a medication) and is harmless to you. It will probably make you sleepy.

Well...it's been a full week and my legs, from ankles to knees, still look like they've been dipped into hot oil!!!  At least the dripping - ooozing has stopped and the scabbing can begin.  Get aloe vera juice in a bottle from the health store. Refrigerate it so it is very cold. Then apply to your face or wherever the rash occurs. Apply as often as needed. The juice cools the itchyness and helps dry out the rash. It takes me a week to get rid of the rash. Also take an alleergy tablet. The antihistamine helps keep it in check.

Firstly you should rule out eczema. I have eczema like rashes that seem to ONLY fill in my tattoo area...Doctors have told me it is not related to the tattoo, however, I have read about people being allergic to types of ink. You will more than likely have a difficult time getting answers as tattoo shops will not provide info (or limited) and doctors seem to be less versed on these issues but do ask.

Try Tea Tree Oil. You can get this at any health food store, Walgreen's, and generally pharmacies will carry this also. It's 100% natural and has been used for generations to sooth and remedy rashes of all sorts. I also used the soap as well, although I'm not sure what good the soap did. Also, MOISTURIZE with no scents or fragrances and preferably hypoallergenic.
