What does the diagnostic error code DF054 mean on my Renault scenic1?
The diagnostic error code DF054 on a Renault Scenic typically indicates an issue related to the vehicle's airbag system, often linked to the side airbag or seatbelt pretensioner. How do you repair dashboard light in Renault scenic?
Prise the dashboard speakers from the top of the dash left and right. You will find a fixing screw beneath each, remove them. Ther are three screws covered by grommits spaced along the dashboard between the demister vents - left, right and centre, prise these off and remove the screws. You will then be able to lift the front edge of the dash (nearest you) and draw it back out of position note the locating lugs situated under and on the forward edge of the panel these are for relocating the panel. This will expose the screws for removal of the panel you need to get to ie.. the clock/temp gauge or the speedometer/rev counter ect. The fixings are obvious. Tilt the fascia of the dial forward until you can access and unplug the wiring to that instrument dial - it's a single plug in each case and will only fit one way so you won't have the problem of plugging it back into the wrong socket. The bulbs are set into the back of the fascia on the dial and can be recognised by their square tops, twist a quarter turn and it will come out quite easily. You can buy replacement from anywhere like Halfords. To refit it just reverse the above instructions. The whole job should take no more than half an hour. Good luck!

What does it mean when the service check fuel injector lights come on Renault grand scenic?
It may mean a coil pack needs replacing. This happened to me within five minutes of buying my new (used) 55-plate Grand Scenic! The car started misfiring, minor at first then worse, and I got the orange service light, check fuel injectors, and check emissions warnings come up. I called the dealer, they got me to bring it straight back and changed the faulty coil packs (two) in five minutes - very simple repair.
These key fob often fail, generally its the infra-red L.E.D. ( not the little red light that you can see lighting beside the fob button) light that fails, to check this you need a digital camera, the one on your phone will do.
hold in the button on the fob in and take a photo of it
the photo should show a white glow from the L.E.D.
if you can see the glow in the photo the problem is else where ie the sensor in the roof panel, or at the fuel solenoid. both can be bypassed
the roof sensor needs a very small spring loaded switch that only works when pushed, upon releasing it the current is switched off, similar to a push button starter switch.
the fuel pump solenoid can be by passed by connecting the live wires to bypass the sawitch - its not live when the ignition switches off so it wont drain the battery.
If the L.E.D. doesnt light up then its probably the led itself, generally the soldered wires to the L.E.D. have come loose and simply need re-soldered on.
if you need a new L.E.D. an auto electrician should be able to get one and solder it into your existing fob, no need to change sensor in the roof or anything, for a lot lot lot less than a Renault dealer would ask.
mine cost £15 so i got new L.E.D. lights both keys fitted for £25-00 and fitted new batteries to both for an extra few quid.

How do you replace a fuel flap on a Renault Scenic 2001?
if you still have the old one and it has simply fallen off then hold it up to the hinge in the open position and from the top use a flat bladed screwdriver to prise open the strong metal spring clip that holds it in place. As you open the spring clip gently manoeuvre the flap back into position and you will feel the spring clip grip the flap back into position.
If you have broken the flap and have a new or second hand part to fit then you simply undo the bolts that hold the hinge to the body and re secure your replacement flap.
If your old flap is stuck in the closed position and the electric motor that unlocks the flap is not working then look inside the small compartment on the drivers side in the boot space and you will find the manual release mechanism.
Good luck.
