Hi, I had exactly the same problem, caused by pugging in a sat nav while the engine was running (a known problem apparently!). If it is the same issue the fuse you are looking for is actually the 15A radio fuse, apparently they are all linked and may also have caused your radio to turn off after 20 mins. Hope this helps.

You dont! If is on and the key will not work you need the key reprograming. Your local dealer will do it

To reset the service indicator, start the vehicle normally. Afterwards, press the button on the end of the dashboard, and hold it in. It will begin flashing through some options, but if it is held down through the flashes, it will reset the service indicator.

fuel gauge not working

The coolant temperature sensor in a Renault Megane Scenic is located on the right hand side of the engine as you are looking at it. It is located just above the TDC sensor.

hi, i found on mine the actual mechanics are fine , it is the attached circuit board plugged onto the window motor that controls the speed and direction that was gone ,only problem is you need to buy the complete unit , just to unplug the connector you need, £225.00 plus vat, i bought one from a scrap yard, £40.00 complete, changed the plug holding the circuit board job done , i got a 2005 megane 1.6 16v .

remove drivers side front wheel, plastic panel behind spring/shock. real fiddly but can be done with minimal swearing ! if you have A/c then the air may be a tad bluer!

On some vehicles there is a special tool required. The piston is pressed and turned at the same time. Of course you must remove the master cylinder cap, in order to be able to push it back on any car. If it has a criss cross patteren on the face of the piston, then you need this tool. Some Suto Parts stores will lend you the tool, if you buy the parts from them.

It's a pretty effective immobiliser. What happens is the immobiliser unit sends a coded message to the engine management computer, and without it, it's a no-go situation. There's no amount of re-wiring going to bypass the thing, although I have seen a couple of websites which offer to 'unlock' your immobiliser so that it permanenly sends to correct code, without the need to see a keyfob again. Probably best to try a Google.

Linked to the radio fuse 15amp in glove box of megane 05. Just changed fuse and everything is now working fine.

Pull the bonnet lever which is on the left hand or passanger side, you will see the bonnet lift slightly. Once this has been completed go to the front of the bonnet and lift the bonnet a bit more. You will see a small lt shaped handle protrude from the left of the grill, pull this and the bonnet will unclip. Voila !

Yes there is a coolant sensor in the Renault megane.

I did this on a 1995/1996 ('N' reg) Clio 1.9 Diesel and I imagine it's very similar for the 1997 model (both are Mark 1's). Anyway, it's easy. At the bottom of the wiper there's a plastic cover which pivots up revealing the nut that attaches the wiper to the motor. Simply unscrew it with a spanner and you're done. Unfortunately, the nut in my case was completely stuck solid and I had to hacksaw it off. I then got another wiper from a salvage yard.

The reason I was removing the wiper was because I was replacing the wiper motor. This was also straightforward, a new motor being obtained from the same salvage yard - installation should be obvious (remove the plastic trim on the inside of the hatchback, unclip the power cable and unscrew the three bolts holding the motor in place; repeat in reverse order for new motor). One problem I encountered was that I'd earlier bought a motor off eBay, but it was from a J-reg Clio and the arm extending from the motor onto which you attach the wiper was too short.

inlet is 0.10 to 0.15mm and exhaust is 0.25to0.30mm ...

The reverse light fuse can be found in the fuse box. The reverse light fuse relay switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard.

the fuse is located in the main fuse box under the bonnet, when you open the bonnet in the top right hand corner of the engine bay you will find the main fuse box. there is also an auxhilary fuse box located in the top panel of the passenger glove box that are difficult to see.

Check for a spark, if no spark check to see if the coil has a switching signal, if no switching signal check the crank sensor and associated wiring. If there is a spark, it's a fuel problem, check for live to injectors and an injector switching signal, if that's allright check power to the fuel pump and fuel pump amps draw.
