1999 megane scenic what is the D3 dash light?
D3 dash light comes on when you press yellow button on gear stick! this is 3rd gear and should only be used when travelling either up or down steep hills. Gives low gear 3rd gear so more economical and does not knacker the gearbox. IT IS NOT (AS IVE SEEN IN SOME ANSWERS) AN OVERDRIVE OR SPORTS MODE BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to reset service warning light on a Renault kangoo van?
Turn the ignition key till the lights come up on the dashboard (don't start the engine) now press down on the millage reset button in the dashboard - count for about 15secs or so and you should notice the flashing spanner has disappeared and the milage count seems to have turned to 20000 - thats it release your hold from the button and either turn the key to full ignition to turn the engine on if you need to go or off. The serv sign should be gone as well as the flashing spanner.
When you restart the engine the milage count of 20000 will be zero until it technically re-counts the original milage and that reappears after a little time.
How do you bleed the clutch on 54 plate Renault scenic 1.5 dci?
on the top of the g/box you'll find a grey part at the end of the clutch pipe. on this grey section you'll find two spring clips, remove the clip closest to the engine, also remove the black bleed nipple cover, add a length of pipe to the nipple ,put other end of added pipe into a container with a small amount of brake/clutch fluid (ensure the pipe stays below the surface of fluid). now GENTLY pump the clutch pedal until bled (ensure you keep an eye on your fluid reservoir level). once bled replace removed clip, give the clutch pipe a gentle push into the grey part( it should click into place) then refit the bleed nipple cover .........done!

2005 Renault Kangoo 1.5 dci Authentique timing marks?
Be very careful before you loosen the pulley bolt on the crankshaft. Most of these engines DO NOT have a woodruff key in the crank and once the bolt is loose the crank spocket is free to move independantly of the crank. Make sure you have the locking pin set (3 pins, one of which is threaded) One goes in the camshaft at around 10 o clock, One in the injector pump. But the most important one is the one that goes into the block just under the starter motor. There is a male torx bolt to undo (fiddly) then the pin is screwed into the block as far as it will go. Now turn the crank shaft clock wise until the crank web just touches the pin and that's tdc. (I find taking the starter out makes it easier to lock the flywheel and mark it for tdc)
To loosen the bolt on the crank pulley don't leae any pins in or you'll bend them. Use an air impact driver with the car in first and someone pressing the brake pedal. You can use a long bar but it's tight and you don't want to move the crank too much.
Once you have done one it's easy.
Sealy make the timing pin kits and some sell on eBay for around 13-15 quid.
If your doing a belt then change the tensioner as well.
How do you remove the door panel of a Renault Scenic?
This is for the Scenic II
Tools: two kind of * shape screwdrivers one size 20 and one size 25, one small screwdriver (something like we use for electric outlets and one big with large flat head.
There are 3 screws: one is at the botom of the panel, one is under the door opener lever (hidden under the plastic cap, you can remove it with a small sharp screwdriver), and the third is inside the window switch plastic tray also covered by a small plastic plug (at first looks like can not be remooved but it can just use the proper small, sharp screwdriver).
Removing the window switch:
Once you are done with the screws you can start to remove the switch. Start to lift it with a wide scewdriver at the end which is closer to the rear of the car as the other side has a long plastic part holding the part under the panel. It should now come out and leave it hanging on the cable for now.
Removing the door handle:
Here you should start at the end closer to the front of the car and turn it to your direction. Behind is connected with a rectangular plastic to the bowden. You can band it with the small screwdriver in the long shaped holes and it will come off so the bowden cable will stay inside the door and you can completely remove the handle.
Now you arrived to the hardest part. First remove the upper part of the panel. I started at the left upper corner. It has several plastic nails and it takes a lot of power to take it out. One by one it will come off but not easy. I tought I broke it but it came off ater all in one piece. There will be one more screw to take out (size 20) right the one behind the window switch.
The lower part of the panel just has to be lifted and it is held by some kind of `claws`. So just lift it and it will all come out.
Good luck!
Ivan.

How do you reset the check emission message on your Renault scenic 2004?
I tried a lot of tricks, but none helped. I had to go to a Renault garage and they were able to reset the message. Sorry, but there is no easy way.
Renault can reset the message, but the reason for the message must be gone. Otherwise the message will return in ½ a day.
My Renault is from 2004 and have 100000 km on the clock. The message check emission appeared on the screen. I used the internet and together with a Renault garage (cost 55 £ for one hour) we discovered that the EGR valve was broken. (Cost 700 £ to change).
700 £ are a lot of money, so I tried to clean the EGR valve. Mounted on the EGR valve is a EGR solenoid. I took that one out and cleaned it. It was filthy. I went back to Renault to make them reset the fault, but it only worked for ½ a day.
I ordered a new valve in Germany (½ price compared to Denmark) and am waiting to receive the valve and some items.
Hopefully I will receive the valve next weekend and I will let you know how this went.

Intermittent wipers not working Renault scenic?
I have a scenic 06 plate. My wipers have stopped working about 4 times in the last 6 months, which is not an enjoyable experience when on the motorway in the rain. I have to switch the ignition off and on to get them working again. Just about to book it into the garage (to probably have them tell me they 'can't find anything wrong with them sir'.)
