Why do wheel bearings keep collapsing been replaced 2 times on my Renault clio?
Did you replace the race? Did you fully pack the wheel bearings with the proper lube? Did you torque them correctly? I suspect you are not doing one of these things. You are doing something wrong or this would not be happening.

How do you change a lower ball joint on Renault clio rxe 1998?
i would not recommend doing it yourself unless you have the specialist tools that are needed to do the job properly.
unfortunately, there are too many rogue traders/car repairers out there who will overcharge you or at the very least, will charge you too much for doing the job with parts included in the price so my advice is this-
go to one of your local car part stockists and buy the EXACT part you need then shop around to find a mechanic who will give you a fair price for fitting only. get a receipt and a guarantee that the part has been fitted according to the manufacturers standards.
here's a little tip- when you are shopping around to find someone to fit the part, slip into the conversation that you have another car that needs LOADS of work doing on it, and that you are considering who to take it to. you can be sure that the mechanic will pick up on this because he will be thinking ''hmmm... if i give him a good price for this job then he will be more likely to bring the other car in and I'll make more money in the long run..!!''
you will then get the job done for a fair and good price and if needs be, and you go back to the mechanic and he asks about the other car you can just say you sold it. if he does a good job then you can carry on being a good customer for him.
good luck...

How do I disable a Renault immobilizer?
This answer only applies to Renaults with a IR- remote key probably makes between year 95-98.
There are 2 versions of immobilizers during these years. You must be able to start the car at least once with key or emergency code to apply theese fixes.
Version 1:
Enter the emergency code and start the car, cut and isolate the Data wire between the fusebox (ECU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) (or dieselvalve if it's a diesel) while the motor is running. Done :) You will probably also want to cut the wire to the annoying LED.
Version 2:
You will need to install a electronic substitute for the immobilizer, they are called Record/playback modules (RPM)
Note:
You might need to inform your insurance company of this alteration. Renault will not perform the above soulutions. If you don't have a emergency code there are free calculaters on the internet or get it from your Renault dealer. This answer is not a step by step instruction, just letting you know it's possible. Version 1 worked on my wife's 98 Scenic.

How do you change a headlight bulb on a Renault modus?
to do this you need patience a swearing vocabulary a hate and disdain of the french idiot that designed it and a promise to never buy any car that you cant easily change bulbs on. Basicaly the whole front bumper and valance has to come off.Four black plastic plugs under bonnet screw slot quarter turn and pull out .underneath car four bolts holding valance to engine guard pan, screws to wheel arch linings angled sinking to make it harder pull back lining undo two bolts one either side and the whole front should fall to the ground scratching the shiny plastic and causing loads of damage which is what this might all be about. a couple of screws and you can change your bulbs take this opportunity to change all of them making even more money for the car industry never mind about the planet you really must ask yourself is this progress.
Changing left hand dipped beam bulb: I managed to change the bulb by removing the two plastic beams above the engine. This allowed more access to the light cluster. I disconnected the indicator cable. I was just able to removed the lower cover and remove the bulb. I managed after two hours and blood to fit the bulb. I put the bulb in the reflector in the correct position then plugged the connector into the bulb and clicked it into the reflector. I think I completed this through luck. I was just about to do the procedure above. I can't believe a car has been made like this!
It took me less than 10 minutes to change BOTH dipped beam headlight bulbs on my 2010 Modus. The back each dipped beam bulb is beneath a plastic, circular cover behind the light unit, accessed by just opening the bonnet (make sure you remember to put the bonnet prop up - I banged my head!). simple pull of the cover (slight twist required), pull off the connector. the bulb is held in by a wire spring connector which just needs pushing to the side to unhook before folding it down. Helps if your hands are on the small to medium size because the working space is very tight.

Replace and fit fan-belt Renault master van?
The belt is quite easy to change on the master van, mine is the 2.2 diesel. you are supposed to have a special tool to raise the tensioner.
I don't have one so what I do is to slide my trolly jack under the tentioner, take a long flat blade screw driver (an old one)place the handle into the jack's cup. the slot end of the screw driver goes into a slot located on the tensioner wheel, this is a little fiddly and may take a few attempts.
Once the wheel has been suitably raised the old belt can be pulled free, place the new belt onto the pullies, taking care that it runs in the same order as the old belt, the belt will be tricky to get over the final, lower pulley, take care here as this pulley is plastic, insert an Allen key into the center of the lower pulley and turn to wind the belt on, do not attempt to leaver the belt into place!
Hope this helps, I spotted this questopn while looking for information on a Kangoo steering rack! don't you love French cars
