President Reagan busted the air traffic controllers union, not the pilots union. Federal members of the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization went on strike in 1981 violating a federal law prohibiting government unions from striking. President Reagan stated that if the air traffic controllers "do not report for work within 48 hours, they have forfeited their jobs and will be terminated." When they did not return to work, President Reagan carried out his threat. He fired 11,345 striking air traffic controllers who had ignored his order. He used supervisors and military controllers to handle the nation's commercial air traffic until new controllers could be hired and trained.

I am not sure what you want to know. Just about everything that could grow, grew under President Reagan- the population, the deficit, the cherry trees, defense spending.

That's a half dollar coin, not half cent. If it is authentic, it is worth several hundred dollars. If it is one of the reproductions sold to tourists in the 1950s, it's still worth $15-$20.

It is difficult to say why some presidents have visited Israel but others have not. President Reagan did a lot of traveling during his two terms in office: among the countries he visited were Mexico, Canada, France, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, South Korea, China, Belgium, Indonesia, Jamaica, Finland, and the Soviet Union. But Israel was not on the list of places he felt he needed to go. Perhaps one day, Mr. Reagan's presidential papers will be available to us and we can see if he expressed any reason for never visiting Israel, but at this point, no official reason has ever been reported.

This would increase investments in an economy, which would thereby increase production, demand for labor and thereby the average salary, which consequently leads to economic growth.

Yes-Most peoples don't have to worry (or stress out) about "mush-room clouds" (atomic bombs going off) suddenly appearing out of no-where anymore. No-Terrorists have taken their place. At least during the cold war, global security was so concerned about "the cold war", terrorists were unable to communicate with each other...if they did communicate with each other; THEY would have been taken as part of the cold war (they would have been caught up in it).
