He complained of not feeling well and friends took him to the military hospital. He was checked on several times during the evening but between checkups, he vomited. This can happen when someone is unconscious from drinking heavily and is resting on their back. Perhaps he was placed on his side or stomach but rolled onto his back. It could have been alcohol poisoning or maybe he was seriously drunk. Exactly what really happened cannot be verified. This is more common than you think. The must lay on their belly with their face right at the edge of the bed or where they are laying. They must be watched for at least 12 hours. This young man did not have to die this way and neither do you or your friends.

I could also have sworn "Jingles" was a Roy Rogers character which prompted my looking into this. I did remember the "Jingles" character was portrayed by Andy Devine.
