There arguably is not a 'strongest' sword in DQ9, so I will list the two contenders.

The sword with the highest attack power is the Hypernova Sword, which requires an alchemiracle. The starting point is the Stardust Sword, which must be found in high level grottoes, or if you are lucky, bought from the DQVC. Stardust sword, alchemised with one Agate of Evolution and one Silver Orb will give a Nebula Sword. Nebula Sword, plus 3 Agate of Evolution, and 3 Silver Orbs, will usually give Supernova Sword, but may produce a Hypernova Sword.

However, for any character with a strength higher than 140, an Uber Falcon Blade will do more damage than if that character were to use the Hypernova Sword, due to striking twice. That counts even more so when Falcon Slash is used. A Falcon Blade can be found on your ship, and bought from the shops in Stornway after you complete the main quest. You will need to alchemise it with a Meteorite Bracelet.

Entrana Dungeon is the only non wilderness place to find them, but you can't wear armour or weapons on Entrana, otherwise they are at some place in level 50 odd wilderness.

There is a greater demon in the wizards tower. There is a group in the karamaja volcanoes, for members i know of a buch in the taverly dungeon that i killed for a slayer assignment.

A good nonmember spot is in the Wilderness Volcano. Just northwest of Fist Of guthix.BEWARE OF LVL 122 HELLHOUNDS unless u can kill one.

You will need to have started the watchtower quest to get entry to this spot.

The doorway to the cave entrance in the Ogre city of Gu'tanoth is guarded by two ogres. (Ogre city is south of Yanille, easiest way there is castle wars tele using duel ring) You speak with them to distract them and enter the enclave.

The greater demons are behind a fence area that you cannot get into so it is perfect for ranging them. Remember to bring telegrab runes for the best goodies the drop. ~ ladyk

Many minigames also involve PvP combat such as Castle Wars and Bounty Hunter.

in taverly dungeon, head past the poisen scorpions. there will be a jailed adventurer, kill the jailer, and take the key.

then go in to the jail cell, and talk to the explorer, and ask him if there is anywhere you can adventure.

The curved bone is obtained by killing certain types of monsters. You are able to bury it for 15 prayer experience, or you can sell it to Barlak in Dorgesh-Kaan, who will give you 2000gp and 3000 construction experience points. (Also know as a curved construction bone.) The long bone can also be sold to Barlak for 1000gp and 1500 experience points for construction. Like the curved bone, it is obtained by killing certain kinds of monsters. If you want to bury it, then it will give you 15 experience points, just like the curved bone, which is not recommended.

Quests can be started at the blue * (asterix) on the map. This sign indicates a start location of a quest. You can also check the quest log for hints what you'll have to do.

Yes you can buy skillscapes, but you don't have to. But keep in mind that you also need to be level 99 in that skill to be able to buy the cape. To buy from some NPC, find the NPC wearing that respective skillcape, which is usually a Guild Master, and buy it for 1k. It used to be that you had to be a member to buy skillcapes but now you can buy them if you're a non-member. However, you cannot get some skillcapes if you're a non-member because some of the guilds are located in Members-Only Areas. But if you have friends that are members and have the skill, you might be able to get it from them by asking them to help you buy it.

You won't get significant amounts of death runes for free. You might get some occasionally from a random event, or from some monster drop. But you really only have three practical options:

1. Buy them.

2. Make them yourself (if you are a member)

3. Use lower-level runes. Chaos runes are now very cheap. Of course, they give less experience per hit.

Talk to Charlie the tramp, who tells you about the Black Arm gang. Go and talk to Katrine, who will tell you that she wants two crossbows from the phoenix gang hideout. If you go east from the entrance of the Black Arm gang hideout, you will see two narrow rooms with ladders in them. The Phoenix gang's hideout is next to the temple (the symbol for the temple is a white thing with yellow lines coming off it). The door will not open, so you have to find someone doing the Shield of Arrav quest; they will trade you for crossbows that they may have. Then take these to Katrine.
