It depends frome where you are going in the US. In plane it may take about 2 to 3 hours to Miami, about 3 to 4 hours to Los Angeles, about 8 hours to New York, etc.

It depends on the sea conditions and weather. Most of the time the travel time for a boat usually takes little over 2 days from Oahu to the island of Hawaii. Usually the only methods now to travel between island of Hawaii to Oahu by boat, is barge service and cruise ship, cruise ship is maybe about 1-2 days and shiping stuff over by barge is about 2-4 days at the most, it all depends on the location each ship is head to.

That would depend entirely on where the ship starts from, where it is going to. Other factors might include the size of the ship and the prevailing weather conditions.

Depends on how fast your boat is and how good the wind is, but good wind and a capable vessel, 20 days plus or minus 5...bad wind and slow boat, expect 40 days plus or minus 5. Basically, somewhere between 15 and 45 days. Hope that helps.

Well, to get the terminology on track (or under sail), technically a boat is a small craft like a cabin cruiser or fishing vessel, so I'd say the reference should be to travelling by ship. The only regularly scheduled trans-Atlantic passenger service is provided by Cunard's Queen Mary 2, which makes the trip in about 5 days. A Ketch is a sailing vessel with two masts, a main mast and a mizzen mast abaft. Very similar to a Yawl the main differences being a ketch's mizzen mast is forward of the rudder post which in turn gives the ketch a larger sail area. A ketch's mizzen mast is used for propulsion where a yawls mizzen mast is used for trim and balance.

Ketches are very common among long distance sailors, since the larger sail area gives you a better balance. Also a ketch allows you to drop your mainsail in sudden wind gusts and sail only with your jib and mizzen set.
