What is the best breeder for a schnauzer dog?

I recommend the breeder i work with (address link in my bio page) but there are also many others. I don't know their names, but there are some in Texas, Iowa, and Arkansas that breed them.

Is it normal for a miniature schnauzer to make a strange noise is it normal for this breed?

My miniature schnauzer makes a coughing sound every now and then, the vet said that it was because he has been eating junebugs. It causes him to sometimes throw up food, seeing that dogs can't digest bugs.

I'd say that you should take your dog out in your backyard/yard in the evening and monitor him to make sure he doesn't have any bug or feces eating problems. If he does, take him to the vet to get anything bad out of his system and a solution to the problem.

I think my miniature schnauzer is too big to be a miniature He's 6 months old and already weighs 20 lbs Any thoughts?

A full grown miniature schnauzer should weigh between 14 and 20 pounds. Perhaps your dog is a standard schnauzer, not a miniature. Miniatures should grow to be about a foot tall; standards, about a foot and a half. Is your puppy real tall or just overweight?

Is 20 lbs to much for a miniature schnauzer to weigh?

No. This weight is perfectly normal for a miniature schnauzer. If your schnauzer gets overweight, take him/her for a run or a walk daily and only give him/her treats or "cookies" when they "do their jobs" outside. Only feed them at about 8:00 in the morning and at 6:30 in the evening. They can gain weight easily, so make sure they don't get excessive amounts of treats. Nope. . . . This is the weighs the adult Minature Schnauzer weighs. . I have a Minature Schnauzer and she is 17 pounds and she is only 1 1/2 years old so yeah this is a good weight for the Minature Schnauzer . . :-)

Schnauzer mixed heeler dogs?

Yes!!!!! If you mix a Miniature Schnauzer and a Blue heeler and mix them you the animal (Only avable in Nashville) US $100.00!

I have that mix and let me say that Timber (his name) is one of the most loving and faithful dogs I have ever had. He is great with my nieces (1 and 4 years old), but because of his Blue Heeler side, he does have his own mind set. He is a very smart, almost deviously smart dog. When we moved to a new home he learned to jump and climb the fence so it was a daily contest between he and my dad as my dad added to the fence to make it harder for him to get out. He held his own until my dad added a rolling post to the top of the fence that kept Timber from getting a footing and getting out.

They have the most expressive eyes and mouth of any dog I have ever seen, you can tell their mood just from the lookos they give you. Such a cute dog. I recommend them to anyone who has the patience to deal with their playful mischevious side. If you can, you'll be rewarded with one of the best friends you ever had.

(To the previous answer, I apologize if it seems like I'm trying to take your thunder, but I love Timber to death and am so proud of him. I brag on him more than my brother brags on his daughters lol)
