Do this according to the instructions on the can and follow them carefully. This should remove enough carbon deposits to stop the pinging. Pinging or pre-detonation is harmful and is something you should not ignore. Also check for any vacuum leaks, blown intake gasket, loose carb or throttle body, which can also cause pinging.

Well, first I have to tell you something. Miniature Schnauzers were meant for ratting, or to kill rats. Well obviously the rat will die but your Miniature Schnauzer will be fine.

--- As an addendum to the point above, your Miniature Schnauzer may not be fine - rats may be rife with bacteria and disease, which your Schnauzer may not be used to. If your Schnauzer has bit a rat, it may be an idea to discuss it with your vet, as the bacteria could cause your Schnauzer to get sick.

Well you have to look at they way they act around your family, and others pets, and they way they listen to you. Pugs and Dachshunds are stubborn, VERY stubborn. Also, they tend to chew on shoes, carpet, and cords, which is very bad. Schnauzers listen and obey. I think Schnauzers are best because they are sturdy and versatile....Also, they are great with any family members, and love to be cuddled. Pugs and dachshunds don't like small children and bond to one person, which means anyone else they will try to bite.
