What is a dive masters pay rate?
This is as varied as the locations you can dive. In Miami Florida I worked with divemasters that would work on boats for minimum wage. The perk was they could come diving anytime they wanted. On a liveaboard I knew a divemaster to make 40 dollars each time he dove with a set of divers on tour. I used to make 20 dollars a person for giving tours. Each person paid me individually. So call and ask what you would be charged in your area if you needed a divemaster. Then that will give you an idea. Just remember some dive boats have a divemaster on their deck. Sometimes they work for tips only and how much they bring home depends on how much care they give the divers onboard. My wife was a divemaster on a boat in Pompano Beach florida. At times her pay consisted of Lobsters or fish. If you are doing this to make money then first get in good with a few instructors. They often need help with students and they will pay you accordingly. Learn the names of all the instructors you can and all the dive boats you can manage. The more you are out there the more your name gets around. That is also for the bad stuff. If you suck then the reputation follows you. I loved teaching and got a great rep with the boats, so they always called when they needed help. Just be consiencious of the captains wants and do them, forget you, its his boat. Always seek out how you can help him.
Are there any places to train to SCUBA dive in Az or NM?
Lots of places, actually. I went to New Mexico Scuba Center and I recommend them.
One of the other shops is Sandia Snorkel, but I don't know much about them.
You would complete the training in Santa Rosa, the 'Blue Hole'. It's about 72' deep.
And Arizona has 'Desert Divers' -check them out!'
Founded the code alpha dive flag?
The dive flag was first used in the early 1950's
D.J. Dockery a former member of the U.S.navy designed the flag to use with his homemade scuba gear. The familiar red flag with white stripe running from upper left corner to lower right corner has become known as the warning that there is a "diver down".
What is the best way to camouflage your self underwater?
The best means of camoflage is to blend in to your surroundings. Camoflage also depends on how you are sought (or how you believe you are being sought!). If someone is seeking you using a heat sensor, then keeping your body temperature low by staying in cold water is the best camoflage. If you are being sought by a shark with a keen sense of smell and poor eyesight, then avoid sweating and urinating in the water. If it's purely a visual means then you would have to apply a small amount of intelligence and make your decision locally. There are many sea creatures with little or no power of thought, that manage this task very well without seeking advice so don't be disheartened.

What causes shallow water black out to divers?
I believe shallow water black out in divers is not as common as in Snorkelers or free divers.
Shallow water black out happens when the impulse to breath is delayed to the point that you genuinely do run out of oxygen before you need to succomb to the impulse to breath. In an extream case the diver may be totally unaware that they are dangerously depleating their blood oxygen before the carbon dioxide levels increase sufficiently to stimulate them to surface and gasp for air. Low blood Oxygen may lead to the diver passing out - with fatal consequences if thiere swimming or diving partner cant get them to the surface and revive them in time. Its for this reason that snorklers and divers are told not to flush their lungs excessivly by taking many many deep breaths before trying to do some prolonged underwater swimming.
It can happen in the case of an excited diver breathing rapidly and then staying relatively stationary and simply forgeting to breath from their aqualung though generally this is less likely.
The classic cause is by some one breathing rapidly before a dive to flush carbon dioxide out of their lungs - this is often presented as "storing oxygen" so that they can swim under water for longer - in fact taking a few deep breaths will not significantly increase the amount of Oxygen you store in your blood - it will however flush out relatively more of the Carbon dioxide. Then when swimming you appear to have more air as the impulse to breath is delayed. Infact this isnt because you have more air its because the carbon dioxide in your blood is taking longer to build up. Its Carbon Dioxide that creates the impulse to breath and reminds the diver to surface. and this reflex to the buildup of Carbon Dioxide is independant of the oxygen levels in your blood. It just so happens that if you have too much carbon dioxide - you probably need to breath more oxygen as well.

What age can you go scuba diving in the great barrier reef?
Depends on the persons certifying agency. It is different for PADI and NAUI and ...... and within each of those certifying agencies, they may have different credentials that may allow diving, but with certain limitations such as MAX depth, or has be with a certified adult etc.
Tattoo's are a symbol to each person that gets one. Tattoo's usually have personal meaning to the person. Two tattoo's can be exactly the same and have two different meanings to different people.
this is totally a personal preference. i love my very short FORCE FINS but others love their very long freeDiving fins. many factors influence a person fin preference because of individuals swimming preference, FORCE FINS use more of the calf muscle similar to short bicycle strokes, whereas a paif of long freeDiving fins use more of the whole leg.
if you ask me; FORCE FINS
if you ask my dive buddy: Apollo Bio-fins
somebody else; a completely different answer
in general though, universally; the SCUBAPRO JET FINS is the most powerful fin
What is the deepest dive for a diving bell?
The diving depth record for off shore diving was achieved in 1988 by a team of professional divers of the Comex S.A. industrial deep-sea diving company performing pipe line connection exercises at a depth of 534 meters (1752 ft) of sea water (MSW) in the Mediterranean Sea during a record scientific dive.
How much has scuba diving changed since it was invented?
It has changed in many ways, from crude equipment to allow a person to breathe underwater in very shallow depths to modern equipment which allows a diver to reach great depths, relatively speaking.

Water divers wear flippers on their feet?
The flippers help divers move at greater speeds and force and is less taxing on the diver.
What is partial pressure blending standing for?
Partial pressure blending involves mixing gases by filling a cylinder first with one gas, then another (and sometimes followed by a third gas).
Partial pressure blending is one of three ways in which one can mix nitrox: the others being cotinuous flow blending, and nitrogen filtration.
Partial pressure blending of nitrox involves partially filling a cylinder with oxygen, and then topping it up with air.
One can also use partial pressure blending to blend trimix, by partially filling a cylinder with helium, and then either topping it up with nitrox, or adding pure oxygen and then topping it up with air.
What is the temperature of waldo lake at 60 ft?
all lakes have a thermocline. Summer time the thermocline will be higher. In winter lower. Thermocline is a layer of water that is separated by temperature. Some lakes have a summer thermocline of 40 feet. But colder water in any lake will fluctuate with how cold and access to sunlight.
