Because there are no shipments during Sunday. So just in case you go to a restaurant on a Monday ordering something from the seafood menu would not be a good idea as more likely that seafood wont be fresh and possibly you would be eating something that was shipped last Friday and is possibly 3-4 days old. When it comes to seafood you always want it fresh.

You need to go to a good fishmonger and request 'sushi grade' tuna. It will cost more than tuna you buy for cooking. Unless you have been trained on identifying sushi grade fish and know what parasites and imperfections to look for, leave it to the professionals. Another good source is to ask your local sushi shop where they buy their fish from.

What are the worst seafood restaurants in Destin Florida?

Captain Daves on the Gulf is the worst seafood restaurant in destin Florida - by far.

I have had better seafood at Captain D's - no kidding. The fish had obviously sat under a heat lamp for a large amount of time. Which only makes sense because it took us 75 minutes to get our food once we had been seated. Combine this with the hour long wait to be seated, the fact that we had to ask for silverware, had to ask for refills, and had a rude/overly familiar waitress who cussed in front of us about the kitchen getting 2 of our orders wrong - after the long wait. The shrimp was rubbery, the fish was hardened from the heat lamp, and it was $100 for a family of four. Like the other person said, the view was nice but everything else was unbearable. Save your money and go to Mcdonalds for a filet of fish - it will be fresher.

Is fish a meat?

Yes. The flesh of a fish is a protein and is meat.

The whole debate is due to the literal definition of meat. You can use a general definition from a dictionary, the criteria used for the food pyramid, a religious definition, or a scientific assessment. The reason a debate even exists is because people use different definitions.

Some within the Catholic religion follow a latin translation for definition. This specifically excludes fish, seafood, and insects from the definition. Other translate the definition of "meat" into "RED MEAT".

There is no right or wrong. That fish flesh is protein is not arguable, fish is higher in proteins than red meat.
