If you forgot your password to your yahoo account what do you do?
If you have ever tried to access your Yahoo account, you will have noticed that it did not work. Perhaps you have also noticed some weird error messages on the page. If this is the case, then you are probably being asked by Yahoo why your account was not working correctly, or why there is a problem with your account. This post will explain what the message means and what needs to be done to fix this issue.
If you have the New Yahoo Mail with chat and the desktop Yahoo Messenger, you cannot be signed in to both.
When Yahoo detects that you're already signed into Yahoo Mail with chat and you sign in to your Yahoo Messenger on your desktop, Yahoo will disconnect you. That's why you get that message that you are signed in to another computer.
You must disable chat in your Yahoo Mail if you want to use your desktop Yahoo Messenger, by doing the following:
See the smiley face next to your user name at the top of the mail page? Click it - then click Sign out of chat. (If you never signed in, the face is gray and sleeping...meaning you're already signed out/disabled.)
Since Yahoo! Mail remembers your settings from session to session, you'll be signed out of chat until you change it.
Yahoo! Messenger desktop application users: If we detect that you're already signed into Messenger, we'll just quietly not sign you into chat - we don't want to interrupt what you're already doing. Of course, you can always change your status from the menu. Signing into chat will sign you out of Messenger
Who invented the first search engine?
Archi is considered to be the first Search Engine in the world.
From Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archie_search_engine
"Archie is a tool for indexing FTP archives, allowing people to find specific files. It is considered to be the first Internet search engine.[1] The original implementation was written in 1990 by Alan Emtage, Bill Heelan, and J. Peter Deutsch, then students at McGill University in Montreal."
If it is the first Web-search engine (with websites instead of FTP's) then the answer is Wandex.
From Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_search_engine
"The first Web search engine was Wandex, a now-defunct index collected by the World Wide Web Wanderer, a web crawler developed by Matthew Gray at MIT in 1993. Another very early search engine, Aliweb, also appeared in 1993. JumpStation (released in early 1994) used a crawler to find web pages for searching, but search was limited to the title of web pages only. One of the first "full text" crawler-based search engines was WebCrawler, which came out in 1994. Unlike its predecessors, it let users search for any word in any webpage, which became the standard for all major search engines since. It was also the first one to be widely known by the public. Also in 1994 Lycos (which started at Carnegie Mellon University) was launched, and became a major commercial endeavor."

What would be the correct way to do a search to match an exact phrase?
Place the desired search phrase within double quotation marks. This forces most search engines to look for matches of that exact character sequence. However some search engines may still show you a list of close matches following the exact ones. Do keep in mind the limitations of an exact search. A major one is that variations in tense, number, phrasing, or spelling won't be found, so you will need to do multiple or joined searches to find everything. For example: * A search for "presidential campaigns" will not find "presidential campaign". * A search for "Mister Ed" will not find "Mr. Ed". * A search for "kicked the bucket" will not find "kick the bucket". * A search for "downs syndrome" won't find the correctly-spelled term "down syndrome". You can find multiple wordings within a single search by combining the phrases with OR. For example, to find both down syndrome spellings, you can use this as your search string: * "down syndrome" OR "downs syndrome"
