Should sharks be hunted and killed?
Unless it is Jaws, absolutely not
All creatures play a vital part in the ecosystem. If we kill sharks, it will upset the balance of the food chain in the ocean and who knows how far it will ripple.
Remember, a stone in the pond will upset the entire pond eventually.
Besides, sharks leave us alone, let's return the favor.
Sting rays do not have many predators except for the occasional large shark.
What does it mean if you dream about sharks surrounding you but not attacking?
Shark
To see a shark in your dream, indicates feelings of anger, hostility, and fierceness. You may be an emotional threat to yourself or to others. You may be going through a difficult, painful, or unpleasant emotional period.
Alternatively, it represents a person whom you see as greedy and unscrupulous. This person goes after what what he or she wants with no regards to the well-being and sensitivity of others. The shark may also be an aspect of your own personality which exhibit these qualities.
What is a type of animal a shark eats?
Other sharks, orca whales (occasionally) and larger fish (depending on the size of the shark) may eat sharks but more often than not, sharks are not prey for other animals. This is particularly true of the larger or more aggressive species such as great white sharks, bull sharks, basking sharks and whale sharks.
What are the 7 most dangerous sharks?
Actually, the bull shark, while be very aggressive, is not the most dangerous.
The bull shark is probably the fourth most dangerous shark. These sharks are very dangerous (as mentioned above) because they are known to be able to survive in fresh water as well as salt water.
Next, comes the tiger shark, these can get up to twelve feet long and they are VERY aggressive. There are a lot of known attacks from these sharks and you should be very, very careful around these animals.
Next in line is the great white. These sharks can get up to twenty feet long and are the largest sharks next to their ancient cousins, the megalodon which could grow up to 60 feet long (however you don't need to fear. These beasts are exitnct.) These sharks are the usual causes of attaks because they can survive in water temperatures down to 54 degrees.
While most people consider the great white the most dangerous shark, they are sadly mistaken. The real culprit is the Oceanic White Tip. They can sense a ship sinking from up to a mile away. They are very fast swimmers and are usually the first on the scene to investigate an interesting noise.
Ever heard of the U.S.S Indianapolis disaster? Of 896 men that went into the water when the ship was sunk due to a torpedo, only 317 were rescued. Some falling victim to dehydration and exposure, but most others being attacked and in some cases devoured by prowling White Tips.
But the white tip only haunts the deep waters so worrying about them trying to eat you in deep water is silly.
Why are white tip reef sharks endangered?
They are not endangered yet, but they are near-threattened.
How far can a dachshund smell?

It depends how big the platypus and shark are, and it also depends if they were provoked or not.
How much does the tooth of a megalodon shark weigh?
The Megalodon weights about 50-60 tons. That would be the average weight of the Megalodon. But the biggest was 103 tons! WOW ! That's big!

The maximum weight C. megalodon could reach is, to be quite honest, unknown to science. It depends on the lenght of each specimen.
For example, an average sized megalodon (between 16 to 17 metres long) would have an weight of 48,000 to 60,000 kg.
Larger specimens with a lenght of 20.3 metres would have weighted 103,000 kg, according to Michael Gottfried et al.
The problem is that Gottfried used, in 2008, as a basis for estimate of max. lenght and weight of C. megalodon a set of fossilized remains that included teeth with a max. height of 184.81 mm.
In 2010, Vito Bertucci, a fossil collector, presented to the scientific community a fossilized megalodon tooth with a height of 193.67mm.
And it is a mathematical certitude that this larger tooth did NOT belonged to the largest megalodon in the world's oceans!
So, marine biologists Patrick J. Schembri et al. could have been more accurate with their avaliation of megalodon's maximum total lenght of 24 to 25 metres (79 to 82 ft).
Under this last estimative, the maximum weight of a megalodon would be approximately 180,000 kg, the weight of the largest extant blue whales (Balaenoptera musculus).
Do sharks have a respiratory system?
One difference is that sharks have a much shorter intestine because their food goes through a spiral valve that rotates it multiple times until it's fully digested.
Who won in Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus?

Is it true sharks never sleep?
Some will rest on the bottom and even at the surface (baskings shark) but whether they are truly sleeping we do not know. It is likely they are alert is some manner to avoid predators and other dangers.
Why have sharks been alive for millions of years?
sharks have changed overtime.
the reason species evolve is because they need to adapt to their environment.
thts why there are different species of shsrks
When will all the sharks go extinct?
You can never really answer a question like this. You if sharks just got extinct, you don't know how that effect things. It effects other ocean lives. If sharks weren't around to eat fish, then they might over populate. And if they over populated, then that could cause problems. So never really want things to just disappear, because you don't how that can effect you, me, and everyone, and everything around you.
How many sets of teeth do sharks develop on average?
around five hundred at a time. They have several rows, whereas humans only have two rows, one on top one on bottom
Last answer was false. All gars are apex predators. They eat whatever will fit into their mouths, just like an alligator. Gars eat alligators, and alligators can eat gars. An alligator will attack something bigger than it can eat in one sitting and sink it to the bottom and store it. A gar is a fish, and as such they are mobile and snatch what they can eat and run. If you're talking about a 300 pounder or in ancient times a 600 pound 15 footer, you had better bet they can eat a 6 foot gator. Gars and gators have lived together for millions of years. They eat each others young but they both survived.
How many brains does a shark have?
A cat actualy has nine brians. That is way people say cats have nine lives.
