It depends on the model and condition. The most common models, the 1894 and 1915, bring from less than $100 to as much as $500, with ones in NRA "good" condition averaging in the $150 to $250 range.

In 1888, George W. Cilley bought out the defunct Bacon Arms Co. of Norwich, CT. He then formed an alliance with Frank Foster, and borrowed enough money to form the Crescent Fire Arms Company. Cilley and Foster each held several firearms patents, and both were highly qualified in firearms design and manufacture. Production began with single shot tip-up shotguns that had an external side hammer. Double barrel shotgun production was started in 1891. In 1893, they began making bicycle chains, and that same year, H&D Folsom took over the company's financial control. Early in the 1890s, Crescent built a rifle that resembled the Remington No. 4. A very rare Crescent was the .410 bore shotgun pistol, which was introduced in the 1920s. In 1929, N.R. Davis Firearms Co., then owned by Warner Arms Corp., merged with Cresent to become Crescent-Davis Arms Co. Because of financial crisis, business continued to decline, and they were forced to sell out. Savage Arms Co. acquired Davis-Cresent in 1931, assembled guns from the remaining parts, and these guns were sold under the Crescent name only.

This is not the same company as Firearms International, Inc. of Houston. Firearms International, Washington, DC, doesn't get much space in the reference books since they didn't manufacture many guns, mostly imported rather inexpensive pieces. The country of origin should be marked someplace on the barrel or receiver. Most utility single shot .410's in working condition are worth $75 to $125, but since it will be difficult to find repair parts if these should break, it may be hard to sell for half that much.

Your gun was made in 1968. Check the link below for a Blue Book value based on condition. A professional appraisal is always recommended.

Enos James & Co / William & Enos James 36-38 Staniforth Street / 14 St Mary's Row / 38 Staniforth Street Birmingham, England Gun, Rifle & Pistol Makers 1877-1900 In 1877 Enos James & Co traded from 36-38 Staniforth Street; in 1889 they took additional premises at 14 St Mary's Row which became their principal offices. Enos James & Co appears to have ceased trading in 1900, presumably when Enos died, but it seems William (son) and Enos (perhaps not the original Enos but a son) were recorded as being in business at 38 Staniforth Street in 1900.

It's a Montgomery Ward brand name on a Mossberg gun. I can't find a period of manufacture, but most likely after WWII and Wards quit selling firearms in the mid to late 1980's. Useable pump shotguns sell in the range of $80-$150.

There must be more to that number? Is there a prefix letter in front of the number? Are you sure about that caliber? ".30-30 special" Do you mean .30-30, or .32 Special? Is there a rollstamp on the barrel, and what does it read? Check behind the hammer also, for a model designation. Enders Royal American was a brand name placed on shotguns manufactured by the Crescent Firearms Company for sale by catalog/hardware stores. You might check under the barrels for Belgian proofs as well. These guns were made before World War I and typically should not be used with modern ammunition.

There is no serial number list. They can be identified by the Sears product number stamped on the barrel. The numbers on the defective guns are: 583.13, 583.14, 583.15, 583.16, 583.17, 583.18, 583.19, 583.20, 583.21 and 583.22. The shotguns were sold in Sears stores and through its catalog as the "J.C. Higgins Bolt Action 12-Gauge Model 10 Shotgun" during the 1950s.

The latest edition of Gun Digest's Guns & Prices says $25 in Poor condition (only useful as a parts gun) and $175 in Excellent. 410 or 20 gauge may bring a small premium in some markets.

What is the rest of the name and other markings, including any patent dates? I have listings for 10 different manufacturers who used some form of this name.
