How can you identify what gauge a Diamond Arms Co single barrel shotgun is by the serial no 82609?
There is no way to tell the gauge from the serial number, and that may not even be a true serial number. Diamond Arms were made by several manufacturers for distribution by the Shapleigh Hardware Company of St Louis between the 1880s and 1940s. Anyone familiar with shotguns should be able to determine the gauge by looking at the gun, but to find the proper ammunition you should also have a gunsmith measure the length of the chamber.
$1000 to $2000 depending on condition.
Where can you find the serial number on a Winchester rifle?
look on the barrel of the rifle, It should be clearly stamped near the breach(the end you load from). Serial numbers are not placed on the barrel, since the barrel is removable and is not considered the 'firearm.' The true serial number of the firearm is going to be located on the receiver. You do not indicate which model Winchester, though. You should also understand that .22 rifles and shotguns made prior to 1968 were not required to be serialized, and some Winchesters therefore did not have serial numbers.
Who manufactured the Western Field guns?
Savage and Stevens depending on when and who they were made for. By far the most Western Field models were made by Mossberg with Stevens/Savage a distant second. There are also several by Marlin and Nobel, a couple of Colts, at least one Remington and a Kessler in the Blue Book's store-brand list.

What is a Lakeside double barreled 12 gauge shotgun with hammers and dual triggers worth?
$150 to $250, depending on how good it looks over the fireplace since this old timer probably isn't suitable for a field gun anymore.
You have a Standard 16 ga made in 1955. There are many places you can sell, such as a local newspaper, online gun auction, or consignment at a local gun shop. Use the link below for information about values. Though the article is much about Sweet 16's, it addresses Standard weight 16's such as yours.
You probably won't find a serial number on it, and if you do, it won't help you determine the age. This name was used by Crescent Fire Arms (1893-1930), WH Davenport Arms (1891-1910), and J. Stevens Arms (1920-c. 1948) on guns made for Shapleigh Hardware of St Louis (1868-present).
What information is available on a Ted Williams 20 gauge automatic shotgun?
If you give the Sears product code that is marked on the barrel or receiver, it can probably be found in a cross-reference list to determine the actual manufacturer and model. http://www.histandard.info/PDF/Sears%20Shotguns.pdf http://www.histandard.info/manuals/sears/sashotguns/1090D150R.pdf
E.Masquelier is a Belgian firm that was selling guns at least through the 1960's. I am not sure if the name is still being used today. Like most Belgian shotguns, actual manufacture was a collaborative effort and then the guns were marketed under an established name. Masquelier guns need to be evaluated individually, since there is a great deal of variability in amount of engraving, ornamentation, and so forth. Smaller gauges bring considerably more than larger. Recent auction sales have seen small bore Masquelier shotguns with only moderate decoration sell for nearly $1000. Have the gun evaluated by a knowledgable and reputable gunsmith - not Bubba Joe at the local bait and tackle. You may just have a nice surprise in store. www.countrygunsmith.net
it was made in 1918
What is the year and worth of a JC Higgins Model 29 583.85 semi auto 22?
1955-1960 or so. Worth up to $125. http://www.histandard.info/PDF/Sears%20Rifles.pdf
These guns have not been produced in almost a hundred years. The only parts available are those cannabalized from donor guns. Parts such as screws and springs are easily made, stocks can be made, but other parts such as hammers would either have to be found (needle in a haystack) or cast from drawings. Becomes a very expensive project for a gun whose actual cash value does not hit $100. www.countrygunsmith.net
What is the value of a J Stevens Arms Co Favorite Model 1915 32 long Chicopee Mass US?
There should be a model number somewhere, probably on the right side of the receiver, but regardless of the model, it is going to be a solidly-built gun with no collector interest. Yours was made sometime between 1920 and 1950. If an experienced gunsmith checks it over and approves, it should still be a useable firearm and worth between $150 and $250, depending on condition.
What would a Ranger 410 side by side shotgun in good condition be worth?
.410 side by side shotguns of all varieties are very rare, regardless of maker. The best way to find out the value of any firearm is to ask a gunshop owner what you should insure it for. Never ask 'how much is it worth' or 'what will you give for it,' because a gunshop owner, like any other merchant, makes his living by buying low and selling high. If you say "This is an heirloom and I don't want to sell it, but I need to know how much I should insure it for in case it's stolen or we have a fire," you'll get a fair idea of the actual cash value of the weapon. Probably a Stevens 311Sears doubles marked 'Ranger' are usually variants of the Stevens 311. Comparable Stevens 311 .410 shotguns have been retailing in the $500 range in decent shape.sales@countrygunsmith.net
The Ranger was made by Hunter Arms, of the L.C.Smith fame. It is the Sears brand of this gun. It is an extremly well made boxlock, very valuable, as 410's are always the rarest of the quality guns. A 20 guage in good condition on gunsamerica is selling for 1500, so the 410 is worth quite a bit more in similar condition.

Where can you find information about a Stevens Arms Model 38B 410 Shotgun with no serial number?
33,500 Model 38s (all series) were manufactured between 1936 and 1945. My books don't give a separate listing for this model, but a single shot would be worth from $35 to $100 or a double from $150 - $250, depending on condition. A .410 can bring a premium of up to 100% from the right buyer.
