The cost can be under $5000 if you build it yourself. A good ramp park can be built for $150,000 to $300,000 if you already have a good surface. If you have to pour a concrete surface you are better off to build a concrete park. The cost is approx. $35 a sq ft for concrete skateparks and we recommend nothing under 10,000sq ft. which is really quite small for a park. Bam started skating at age 7. He became PRo at age 14. Was signed with element. Still considered Pro today because he is still sponced but he doesn't complet anymore. Still skates for fun though. :)

The cost to produce a skateboard is about $20 $25 dollars maybe less.

In many cases, the companies also own a woodshop -- that is, they own the company where the wood veneers are pressed and shaped into a skateboarding with concave. For a good American-made board, the actual cost of the wood plies and the process is somewhere int he neighborhood of $8 to $10. Then the wood shop sells it to the company. for $16 to $20. This is usually with the graphics. Then the company sells it to the distributor for around $30, or direct to a shop for around $35. Then the shop sells it to the customer for somewhere between $45 to $60. There are also good boards comping out of China, but the key is that the boards must be made out of rock-hard Canadian Maple. It is a hard, stiff wood and it is what is responsible for the pop and feel of a good skateboard. While these nuances do not matter to the novice, to anyone who skateboards regularly, the difference is very noticeable and after riding a good board, it's hard to ride a substandard board. The key thing if you want a good board is to buy from a reputable skateboarding company who is dedicated to skateboarding. These brands will sponsor skateboarders, they will be active in marketing their brand, and they will constantly be improving their products. There are a lot of good companies, but some of the best include Zero, Flip, Toy Machine, Foundation, Mystery, Slave, Real, AntiHero, Think, Blood Wizard, Lifeblood, ZooYork, Almost, Blind, Darkstar, Dogtown, 5Boro, Stereo, Birdhouse, Sk8Mafia, Element, Santa Cruz, World Industries, Powell, Pocket Pistols, Girl, Chocolate, and more. This is not a complete list, but off the top of my head. If you like a company, that's what matters if the board is for you.
