How do you cook a chicken an a crock pot?
Well, you can but I do not recommend it as the best way to cook it. So here goes...
First prepare the duck as if you were going to roast it. I recommend scoring the skin of the duck with a sharp knife to give the fat someplace to run off the duck.
(scoring means to cut the skin but not all the way through to the meat, otherwise the fat gets into the meat and it doesn't taste as good)
Next, make sure you have something in the bottom of the crock pot to keep the duck from sitting on the bottom. You don't want the duck sitting in the fat runoff. I recommend some chunked carrots or potatos. Then simply Crock it for about 6 to 7 hours.
This will not brown the duck but it will be cooked all the way through. If you want to brown the duck, remove the crock from the bottom part of the crock pot and put it in an oven under the broiler for about 3 to 5 minutes.

'Hi-pot' is short for 'high potential'. So, a 'hi-pot' test is a 'high-potential' test, and is used to test the insulation resistance of electricity-supply equipment, such as underground cables, etc. It does this by subjecting the insulation to a continuous (d.c.) over-voltage for a given period of time. The magnitude of the test voltage, and the duration of the test, is laid down by the standards that apply to the electrical components being tested.
