First, you play a violin, not use, though I am sure you put that there because it wouldn't let you put play since there is already that question. You play a violin by supporting the lower bout of the violin between your shoulder and chin, while holding the neck, using your fingers to change notes. You lightly, or roughly(depending on music) pull the bow across the cords in the middle, or the waist, by the bridge. But not too rough, for you may snap the strings. Note that you tighten the hair on the bow before playing.

DO NOT TIGHTEN THE BOW ALL THE WAY! It WILL snap. You can tell when your bow is not too tight when it curves a little inward. If it curves outward then it's way too tight and it could eventually snap. Remember too loosen your bow when you are putting your violin in a case otherwise the hairs could stretch out over time. Also if you get too close too the frod the it will squeak. Stay in between.

Vibrato is a tricky thing. My violin instructor told me, that your teacher can tell you the technique, but you have to perfect it and really teach yourself how to do vibrato. Good luck!

No absolutely not the bridge is what transfers the vibrations of the strings into the hollow inside of the violin resonating the sound, if you were to play it without the bridge it would sound similar to an electric guitar without an amp.

Most violins would be the same size, out of the four sizes they come in: 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 4/4 (full size). most people by the time that they are fully grown will be able to use a 4/4 size violin. if this helps, i am 5ft1/2'' and i have a full size violin.

the action on mine was super high. i adjusted the truss rod one full turn clockwise. and then put some elixir polyweb light gauge strings on it. its by no means a gig guitar, i have my takamine for that but this made it a decent guitar to throw in the trunk without any fear of damaging something valuable. one thing i will say for first act is that the tuners are great. (at least on mine) it holds a tune very well. i habnt done it yet but i may sand down the bridge saddle a bit as well just to make it abit more comfortable to play. happy jamming.
