What is the movement of Sudan Africa?

latley (august the 1st) America has sent 2.1 billion dollars of funds towards protecting Sudan (check the herald for more), the funds will go toward arms in helping stop the rebels from genecide of their own people.

I'm not going to delete the above but we have been talking about this and I don't believe that the rebels are trying to destroy their own culture. That what the basic definition of genecide is the destruction of a culture/way of life. No human in their right mind would want to destroy their own way of life, because by doing that they would cease to exist. It is human nature to do anything to survive so this contradicts itself.

In ancient Egypt where is khartoum located?

In ancient Egypt Khartoum was not the place it is today, in earlier years it was probably an trading out-post as it was at the confluence of the White and Blue Niles. There are a number of Egyptian tombs and ruins up and down the river side (as well as inland) surrounding Khartoum.

Khartoum was founded in 1821 by Ibrahim Pasha, the ruler of Egypt in those days, and it was supposed to be an outpost for the Egyptian Army. Since 1956, when Sudan, a country situated south of Egypt, attained its independence, Khartoum became the capital of the new country.

Type of government in Sudan?

Sudan is a presidential republic, whose president of 22 years is Omar al-Bashir. Since the end of its civil war, Sudan has been operating with a government of national unity, in which citizens from the Muslim North and Christian South occupy government positions proportional to their populations. The president of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, is also the vice president of Sudan as a whole.

In January, 2011, South Sudan voted to secede from Sudan, and will become the world's newest independent country in July. From that point forward, both Sudans will presumably be presidential republics.

Another significant feature of Sudanese government is that it derives the majority of its criminal, social and economic law from Shari'a, or law derived from Islamic scripture. This has led to controversy when Islamic punishments have been accidentally applied to non-Muslims, who are universally agreed to be exempt from such punishments. Southern Sudanese laws are not derived from Islam.
