Tanning lotions are more expensive when they have better skin care ingredients. The more expensive lotions will take care of your skin while youre tanning and help you to tan faster, as most of the more expensive lotions contain bronzers. Also, the more expensive lotions tend to have dimethicone in them which is a thinning agent and will make them last longer. The lotions are worth the money.

Technically, all lamps are designed to bronze so actually all lamps are bronzing lamps. That said, some lamps are marketed as bronzing because of the UVA/UVB ratio that is least likely to cause the reddening (when exposure schedules are followed) and deliver a true bronze color that lasts longer then the stronger lamps which provide color faster but in the end require more frequent sessions. You can get a tan doing anything. As long as you're in the sun, and not crossing through the shade too often. I would, although advise you to take little breaks ever now and then, because it's not too great to get sunburn, is it? XD

u can get SKIN cancer from tanning becuz the harmful rays of the sun, and becuz u obviously did not put enough sun screen on before u went out side...

Lotions with cocoa butter can help with tanning. Products with shea butter mimics sunscreen.

Regular tanning beds use several fluorescent lamps that have phosphor blends designed to emit UV in a spectrum that is somewhat similar to the sun. Which causes your skin to pigment.

Sunless tanning solutions contain dihydroxyacetone [DHA] which reacts with the amino acids in the top [or "dead"] layer of your skin. DHA combines with the amino acids to form brown-colored melaninoids.

Sunless tanning has actually been around for years as well, believe it or not it was actually discovered by accident. DHA was added to cough syrup to sweeten the taste. What they found after was a color very similar to the bodies natural tan. Today's products use the same main ingredient DHA in all sunless tanning products.

Use sunscreen liberally and frequently to prevent further damage to your sunburn. Some studies have shown that we only use half of the recommended amount.
