Classification of instructional materials?

What are limitations in using cluster sampling technique?

In a cluster sample, researchers divide subjects into strata (like cities, for example), randomly select a few strata (draw the names of a few cities from a hat) and sample every subject in those strata (question everyone in that city.)

A significant disadvantage is that you may select strata that completely overlook a feature relevant to your study.

If your study polled "What is the importance of agriculture to our country's economy?" and you questioned people from New York, Chicago, Detroit, and Los Angeles, your data may be bias because it does not include opinion from more rural areas.

What are the disadvantages of micro teaching?

· Microteaching is too narrow and restricted.

· The main emphasis is on learning one teaching skill at a time wheras actual

teaching behavior is a composite of many skills operating simultaneously.

· The technique keeps trainees away from the classroom problems.

· It is time-consuming since one trainee practices a skill in about 35 minutes.

So, accordingly ten trinees will take 350 minute to practice one skill, only once.

· It is essentially a passive exercise.

How are basc-2 prs-c scored I want to self score my sons the school here likes to change things?

It is unethical and quite possibly illegal to self-score your own basc-2 prs. If you want answers, contact the school psychologists that administered the test. You have a right to SEE the protocol, but not KEEP it, so if the school gave you a copy of the protocol, than that might be a court issue. The report that the school provided you with should be comprehensive, but if you have more questions, you should sit down with the school psychologist and go over it with them. It's only a small part of the battery that was given to your child, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Remember, you are NOT qualified to self-score it, so please stop trying.

What is the difference between method and technique?

In general

Method is the general or specific way in which an activity is conducted, while techniques are the various methods and processes developed through knowledge, skill, and experience.

Example:

There is a method for changing a light bulb : the switch is turned off, the old one comes out and the new one goes in.

There are many techniques for handling a hot bulb, and for avoiding damage to the new bulb you're putting in.

Programming:

1. Method - A method performs a specific task in a routine. From object oriented programming (OOP), methods are functions that are part of a class definition. Once an instance of the class is created, a method is bound to that instance. Unlike a function declared outside a class, a method cannot be used apart from the instance to which it is attached.

2. Technique - A way of working with methods, functions, and code commands to create the overall response from the computer when the code is run.

EXAMPLE: There are many ways to get a computer to calculate your age. One technique would be to write a function to prompt a user for their date of birth. Then subtract the value of today's date (a method of the date class) from their input. Finally, you can use an output function to post the results. The methods are the individual code commands to receive input, process data, and output results. the technique is the overall process. A different technique would be to simply prompt the user for their age.

Computer Animation:

1. Method - a method is a specific tool used to create a detail in the artwork. For instance, to create a cylinder shape in 3D, one could create a circle and extrude the cylinder. Alternatively, they could create a straight line and revolve (lathe) the line around a second line. The second line would then become the central axis of the cylinder. The second method give more control of the silhouette of the cylinder in the beginning, and would be preferable for making shaped cylinders, such as a wine glass or beer bottle.

2. Technique - a general set of methods used to create the overall illusion of a scene. To create an animation of a wine glass breaking, one could start by modeling the individual broken peices and keyframing them coming back together (playback would then be backwards). Another (better) technique would be to use the revolve method noted above, and split the finished model apart, keyframing the peices away from each other. A third technique would be to use a simulation on the model to create the broken peices and define their motion.

Has anyone who has suffered heelspur pain for years ever had treatment at the parish and bell clinic and did it work?

I have had treatment at The Parish and Bell Clinic after suffering tremendous pain from Plantar Fasciitis. I suffered for around 6-7 years and tried all sorts of treatments including surgery twice! None of the treament worked and in fact made it worse! I had exhausted all forms of treatment and was facing life in a wheelchair. I could barely walk let alone go to work or do anything else.

I saw an advert for the Parish & Bell Clinic and was doubtful at first as nothing else had worked so why would this? I went along and met Mr Bailey--what a lovely man! Very friendly and understanding and so were the rest of the staff. I had three pairs of orthotics made and received them in the post a few weeks later. After about 3 weeks I reduced the painkillers I had been on for the past four years, and within a couple of months was off them all together! Within 3 months I went back to work part time after having 18 months off work! I am now working full time in a Nursery and am on my feet nearly all day. Thanks to Mr Bailey and his team I have been given my life back. I can now run around playing with my Grandson --something I couldn't do before.

Any one who is suffering like I was really should contact the clinic. It really does work!!
