The End of the World (apocalypse)

Jesus described the signs that would come just before and during the end. Wars and rumors of wars, many more natural disasters than usual, world-economy and global monetary system, increased technology. The bible also said that the problems will start in the holy land (the middle east) These are the highlights. But when the disciples asked exactly when he answered that He did not know. Only the Father in Heaven knows the hour. So we are not supposed to know when. There is no proof that says the world will end in the year 2012, however many of the prophecies are slowly coming true. But do not worry, God loves us all. But he won't return until its time to go out of earth like 2195 or something.

Because mankind is too sentient for their own good. We have too much emotion and difference in thought. Jealousy, hatred, revenge, money, religion, status... ALL of these are simple reasons for some people to just go ahead and pull the trigger. Not everyone has the same mindset that killing is bad, and certainly people that do kill are not afraid of the following consequences themselves (otherwise they wouldn't commit such an act in the first place). Why did September 11th happen? Religion. Why was Kennedy assassinated? Someone just plain and simple didn't like him. Why did Richard Kuklinsky kill so many people in his life. Money (and greed). And there are many people who have fantasies about killing...they are mentally predisposed (either from the way they were raised, or possibly genetically) to enjoy killing people. Remember Jared Loughner? The sick bastard who shot Gabrielle Giffords in the head (thankfully she survived) and killed a bunch of others including a NINE YEAR OLD GIRL? Why did he do it? Because he was freaking coo-coo! Look at the guy's freaking mugshot for Pete's sake. Insanity; same reason Cho shot up V-tech and the Columbine shootings. Why did John Wayne Gacy kill little boys and have sex with their dead bodies? Fantasy. People kill each other because without death, life can't continue.

No the Earth has no end because it is round.

There might be an end because of all the pollution and garbage that we make.

Also, lots of people cut down the trees so we will probably end up with no oxygen.

This is the end of the long-count cycle of the Mayan calender. It then starts over, sort of like how we have 12 months, and they start over at the beginning of each new year.

My answer would be YES I believe that jesus will save us all when the world ends.

There has yet to be a third World War. If you meant WW2, it was Adolf Hitler. If you meant during WW1, it was Otto Von Bismarck.

In Guru Granth Sahib, the holy Sikh scriptures, there is no definite prediction of the end of the world. But it does also not say that it won't end.

The thing to remember here, in regards to Sikhism, is god. God is infinite, meaning god has no beginning, nor any end. Such is said about the universe. It is an infinite loop. It is only life that ends. Life of humans for example. But, our souls never end, because they are energies that will merge back with the main stream of energy-- referred by many as god.

The only thing that is unclear, from my gatherings is this. Guru Granth Sahib does have writings in it about Eras. These eras, in any Indian religion, are called Yugs/Jugs.

Kalyug is the current yug, so the current era, and there is nothing written about an era beyond it, stating it is the 4th era of 4 eras. Which means one can determine with his or her own mind, that this could be the last era.

But that is how you see it, it is not mentioned in Guru Granth Sahib.

The children of tomorrow would have to save the world. They would have to decide if they shall continue to fanatically follow mythological theologies that perpetuate oppression, terrorism and bigotry or if they will create a new world order of respect, appreciation, virtuousness, decorum, moderation, piety and compassion. The children of tomorrow will decide if they will continue to accept the selfish actions of greedy individuals who continue to pollute and destroy the planet.

This depends on your religion. If you are Christian, you believe that Jesus will come at the end of time, but it never states exactly when he will come. Also, the earth won't end for at least 1 million years. There is a VERY small chance that the earth will get hit by a giant meteor or something in like 2016.

Hostilities ceased on 11th November 1918, though it wasn't until 28th June 1919, that Germany and the Allied Nations (including Britain, France, Italy and Russia) signed the Treaty of Versailles, formally ending the war.

World War Two officially started September 1st 1939 with the Nazi/Soviet invasion of Poland and ended September 2nd 1945 with the two atomic bombings of Japan. The total time lapse was 6 years and 1 day.

The Atomic Bomb development came to an end. They tested one bomb in Alamogordo, New Mexico while President Truman was at the Potsdam Conference.

The Potsdam Declaration (or rather threat) was presented to Japan. They were told they had to unconditionally surrender. The Japanese ignored it.

Truman then ordered the atomic bombs to be used against Japan. The bombs were transferred to a Pacific Island on a ship. The bombs were then flown to Japan on August 6th and 9th. The cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were severely damaged.

The Japanese Military Leaders refused to surrender claiming the damage by the atomic bombs was no different than the napalm bombing campaigns. Emperor Hirohito inspected the cities. He realized that if the US had more of these bombs his nation would be annihilated. He had sworn to protect the throne and empire so he chose to surrender.

The surrender signing was conducted on the USS Missouri on September 11, 1945.

No. No one knows what the last day for earth is. And those that say they do are wrong. Because there is no logical or scientific way to predict this. Every time it has been predicted in the past it has always been wrong.

There are some people that claim they know when the end of the world is and what the last day on Earth is. No one can say they are wrong until the date comes and passes.

no! so many people have predicted it and they have all been inaccurate. and the reason why people are freaking about is because of the movie 2012 ( which i have to say its an excelent film.) and i mean. its not like just because the Mayan calender stops. doesnt mean it realy is the end of the world. and for some reason the Maya were just into climat too much they made a calender.
