There are also floor brokers, specialists and cold callers, and those folks make between half a cent per share and three cents per share commission...regardless of the stock price.

The reason Wall Street compensation is so high is because of those really high earners. A large number of people on Wall Street make barely enough to live on, but average the $35,000 and $45,000 people with the $25 million people...
