Is someone transsexual or transgender if they want to have both genitals?

Wanting to have both genitals is wanting to be intersexed, not a transsexual or transgender. However, people are born intersexed and cannot choose it. So if someone wants to be like an intersexed person, that would be a type of transgenderism.

Intersexed - an individual which which is born with reproductive organs of both sexes.

Transsexual - A person who strongly identifies with the opposite gender and who chooses to live as a member of the opposite gender or to become one by surgery.

Transgender - is a general term applied to a variety of individuals, behaviors, and groups involving tendencies to vary from culturally conventional gender roles.

How do you know you are transgender ftm?

Being transgender means identifying personally as the opposite gender - in simpler terms, it means a guy who feels like they're a girl, or a girl who feels they they're a guy. If this describes you or someone else, then that person is transgender.

However, just being more feminine or masculine than most people is a difference in personality, rather than a difference in how someone identifies, so it is unwise to make assumptions based upon that.

Additionally, many people assume that being gay or lesbian automatically means that you're transgender. However, this is not true: while there does tend to be a relation between these two parts of who someone is, sexual preference and gender identity are independant of each other - in simpler terms, just because someone is trangender does not mean they're gay, and vice-versa, so it is also unwise to make assumptions based on that as well.

What does gender identity mean?

Gender identity is the deep and prevailing sense about who you are, as to whether you are a man/boy or a woman/girl. It stems from the most basic parts of who you are inside, and it has nothing to do with choice or what genitals you have.

It is gender identity which drives people to take hormones and alter their genitalia with surgery. They don't transition to become the "other sex," but because at a certain level, they are already that "other sex." They need to be treated by others in a way consistent with who they have always been inside. The need to transition has nothing to do with libido nor any sexual urges. A good number of transsexual persons are of the asexual orientation. That is ironic when the sex industry spreads the notion that people with transsexualism are promiscuous, when they have a similar or lower sex drive as that of the identified gender.

Are transsexual really women?

Transgender women are real in terms of them existing. If one is asking about whether they are genuine women or not is up to personal interpretation. Some would consider them as being on par with non-transgender (cisgender) women, while others would consider them valid members of their own separate gender. Then of course there are people who do not think positively about transgender women.

Can a transgender or transsexual woman give birth to a child?

No, a transgender woman cannot get pregnant because she does not have a uterus, even after surgery. This may change one day in the future.

Where can you get a Male to Female gender reassignment in Saint Louis Missouri?

Take your penis and push it inside of your body, or tuck it between your legs. I know.. BE A MAN AND BE FRIENDS WITH THE PENIS> DONT HATE THE PENIS

Should you leave your wife for your transsexual mistress when you feel deep inside that you are bisexual?

If you want to have sex with other men's penises, then you should tell your wife you are gay and apologize for pretending that you were not gay when you married her. Then the two of you should try to reach an agreement as to whether you will stay married or divorce.

You should be having this conversation with your wife, or a therapist, counselor, etc. You should not rely on strangers to tell you what to do.

If your 16 female and you feel more attracted to the thought of being a man and having gay sex with men than just having regular straight sex with men what should you do?

If you're sixteen, odds are pretty good that you should spend a couple years thinking about it before you DO anything. That's especially true when you're talking about something as fundamental to most people's perception of you as gender--while it's increasingly possible to come out, safely, as gay when you're young, it's not quite so likely that your parents or friends will receive "I want to be a gay man" with perfect equanimity. Think. Read. Think more. Find internet communities where you can connect with people who feel and think similarly.

Livejournal is one site with thriving gay and transgender (that is, females who want to be male-bodied, males who want to be female-bodied, and a whole array of people in between) communities, and it can be a lot easier to talk openly about this stuff with people who aren't sitting right in front of you.

One good resource for thinking through some of this is Kate Bornstein's My Gender Workbook. It's not exactly cheap, but you can find it on Amazon, and it's for sure worthwhile.

If you can connect with a counselor (think secular, not religious, in most cases) who is supportive, they can also be a very good resource.

So... realistically, especially as young as you are, be careful who you tell. But don't feel as if you have to go it alone. You're not the only one of us out there.
And do remember that safe sex is the only way to go if you want to experiment.

If a man likes transsexual videos does that make him gay?

no, but if he watches them i would have him chect out by a syciotrist

--------------------------------from a transsexual--------------------------------

100% of the men who have been interested in me are straight acting. I've never been with anyone who was flamboyantly gay acting. They've all reported to me as straight men.

How can a man sound like a girl?

A person born with male parts is unlikely to sound like a little girl. Now, a woman born wrongly with male parts can learn how to feminize her voice and be taken for a woman, even on the phone. Here is what you do.

1. Find your modal (default) voice and try to determine its pitch. It might be about a C3 (around 120 hz). You want it to be about a G3 if you can get it there. Try to habituate your voice around there.

2. Then try increasing your resonance. One thing to do is raise your larynx. To get an idea how it feels, swallow and take your hand and hold things up as you speak using the advice in step #1. Then once you get an idea of the sound, then learn to do it with muscles. Try to bring the voice more to the front of your mouth. While whispering a lot isn't good, you can use whispering as a gauge to check your resonance. Try for a "higher" sounding whisper that seems to come from the front of your mouth. That may require opening the mouth wider and/or raising the tongue. Keep practicing this.

3. Then you work on your behavior and body language. Use more gestures, don't be afraid to touch others (with discretion of course), smile more, don't interrupt, and avoid offensive words and topics. Lean into a conversation and express genuine interest.

4. Word choice and grammar also helps. Use proper grammar. While women do curse on occasion and speak about inappropriate things, they do not tend to keep gravitating to graphic sexual conversations and conversations about toilet habits.

5. Don't think of yourself as a man. If you are a transsexual and plan on surgery, then a certain part of you was always a girl/woman. Transition is not to change who you are, but to bring who you are to the surface so all can see. So if you think of yourself as a woman and lead with that type of energy, you may find yourself behaving and speaking more feminine.

6. There are advanced things to try. One is to do vocal warm-ups for singers. Yes, you would practice in your natural voice, but as you do so, you get more flexible with your voice, and this flexibility and conditioning will help as you feminize your voice.

7. Work on bridging the register break in your voice. Most people's voices jump into falsetto, but you can learn to remove that break. Just do a "siren" effect from chest voice, into head voice, and back. Keep doing it gently and eventually you can figure it out. Then singing or doing scales across that bridge and back. The practice speacking across it and back. Girls sometimes squeal with delight as they greet each other, and it is nice to have the range to do that. While speaking in falsetto doesn't work well with masculine voices, you can learn to speak in a blend of chest and head voice and add a few more usable notes to your range.

Do MTF transsexuals experience baldness and if they transition after baldness takes place does the hair grow back?

Yes, they do experience baldness. The hormone therapy may slow down balding, and may cause some regrowth, but if you are already noticeably bald, it will not help you much. You should use hair loss products for men. Rogaine for men is stronger than the version for women. Transsexual women can safely ignore the warnings against women using certain androgen blockers since they won't ever become pregnant.

Baldness can be a separate issue from gender. Non-transsexual women go bald also. If a person born with male parts is going bald or has the trait to go bald, that will continue after the surgery. Prevention is the best thing here, since the earlier you start on hormones and the sooner you get the surgery, the better the chances are for keeping your hair.

What happens to the male body during female hormone therapy?

When a transsexual woman starts taking hormones, a number of changes may occur. Muscle mass may decrease. Breast tissue will enlarge similarly to what girls experience during puberty. The skin may soften, and skin lesions may dry up or fall off. Beard growth might reduce slightly, and the fatty layer under the skin may thicken.

There may also be mental changes, though not all report these. Aggression may decrease. Certain types of abstract thought might diminish, possibly making it harder to work math problems or plot a driving route, though that can be overcome with effort. The sense of smell and hearing may intensify (though directionality of hearing may reduce), certain phobias might increase slightly, and anger may reduce. Some even report handwriting changes.

Are transsexuals usually homosexuals?

Gender identity and sexual orientation are two completely different things. A person can be transsexual and be heterosexual, homosexual, or bi. One has no bearing on the other. Transsexuals don't feel in line with the gender they were assigned at birth, and quite often, realize this in childhood. Their being transsexual doesn't dictate their sexual preference.

What are the effects if a male takes Diane pills?

I assume you mean Diane 35. It would, over time, certainly feminize the person. However, Diane 35 is not the best choice for transition since it contains one of the most dangerous forms of estrogen in terms of blood clots and liver damage. You should only take hormones under the care of a licensed physician.

Why would a male to female transgender only seek relationships with male to female transgenders?

Not all MTF want to be with other MTF. One stereotype is that all transgender people are homosexual. However, this is absolutely not true. Being trans is not in itself a sexual orientation. You can trans and be homosexual, but you could also be straight. You could like boys, girls, both, other trans people. It doesn't really matter. It's just like any other person, only in the process one wishes to actually be the opposite sex.

What is transsexuality?

It is a condition where there is a brain body mismatch. Where your physical sex does not match up with your mental/spiritual gender. It has been shown through brain scans the Male to Female Transsexuals have the brains of a woman, and we cannot change that. Instead we adjust the body to the best woman's body we can give them. In the case of Female to Male Transsexuals the reverse is true.

Find lawyer in Cincinnati for transgender issues i have had surgery from male to female now i want to marry a man my drivers licence refects female but not my birth certificate?

You can start by looking in your local phone book, to see if there are any lawyers that specialize in these issues. If that is not an option, try 1800LAWYERS and inquire there. In the transgender community, you may be able to put out feelers for this or on the Transgender web site, if there is one. I dont know if you can legally get your birth certificate changed because as far as vital statistics you were born a male. Good luck in the future and be sure to be upfront with the man you plan on marrying so that they know the situation. Even though you have every right to feel the way you do they have every right in knowing the truth.

Why have you not changed your sex on your birth certificate yet? Its one of the most important documents to have changes once SRS has been completed. I would first do that, and then worry about getting legal help if it is still a problem for you.

I am a 16 year old guy and not a transsexual but love to secretly wear girls clothes and diapers I don't know what is wrong with me I love girls and don't have any interest in guys please help?

You sound like you are transgendered and may have an age regression or diaper fetish. As for what to do, you can seek therapy to become more comfortable with this, or you can seek out like-minded persons to dress up together. There are cross-dressing and transgender organizations you can attend and/or join.

Well you may be what people call a heterosexual cross-dresser; a guy who likes to look like a woman, but still has interest in women. Its not very unusual; just not very "cool".

Asker: If I am one what do I do? I like it and all and it makes me feel good but I'd rather die then have anybody I know see me like that.

Drag Queens dress up to entertain others. You sound like a cross-dresser, someone who likes to wear women's clothes. That has no homosexual implications, despite stereotypes (but women might feel iffy about it).
