i would love to know the answer to that 1 to because i had a scan at about 5 weeks and what you could see was the sack and a hollow circle at the side of the womb ive got to go back tomorrow to see if the baby has been developing

This is not going to be much comfort- I experienced a simiar episode and am now at 5.5 weeks with a repeat episode. My last pregnancy my levels were 3400 ish and only increased to 4700 ish someweeks later. I was told that levels that do not double at least every 72 hours are not promising. ometimes At 5 weeks and almost always by 6 weeks you should see a gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole with electrical activity about 80 to 125 beats. That's what I remember from my Drs apt. There are others with positive outcomes. at 6 weeks the levels can range from 200 to 150000. Good luck I m hoping it works out for you. EDC stands for Estimated Date of CONFINEMENT, not conception. Of course it could be wrong. It is just an estimate. If it is from a doctor, be sure to take it into consideration, though. It may not be perfect, but a medical expert's advice is always best to follow. An ultrasound will give you a more accurate date if you are unsure of your last period.

If the baby is a few months old (or younger), you may see a pulse on the top of the head at the 'soft spot', where the bones of the fontanel haven't yet sealed together after delivery. All babies are born with their skulls incompletely fused (to allow their heads to pass through the birth canal), but after several months (or more) the skull should close completely.

If you are concerned it is best to see a pediatrician.

I believe it means that they have only seen one sac--as in one embryo...not twins.

At 10 weeks, the baby doesn't look like much, but you can usually see a little ball with a little body and nubs for arms and legs. If you look up 10 week ultrasounds in Google, then you should see a little better example.

A pelvic exam can't determine if you have had sexual contact. It can tell if your hymen is intact, but that doesn't dtermine if you've had sex.

i had an ultrasound when i was 6 weeks pregnant, but by ultrasound, the pregnancy measured to be 5 weeks, so no fetal pole was seen yet. i think the earliest fetal poles can be seen is about 6 1/2 - 7 weeks. hope this helps :)

There is the possibility that you ovulated late, which would make you appear to be behind where you should be for dates.

No the vibrations are not intense enough to reach the baby. Although it could detect the emotions of the mother caused by the music.

It all depends on the baby. Some babies born at 35 weeks require no special care after birth, some require only a little, some a lot.

Babies born at 35 weeks are more likely to require,

-some help with their breathing (as lungs not always mature)

-some help with feeding (as sucking reflex not always developed at this gestation)

-jaundice (common in premature and pre term babies)

You need to book an appointmnet to see the nurse at your local clinic / primary health care joint. They will assign a prenatal midwife to you who will book an appointment to see a sonographer for the scan. The first 'dating' scan is usually around 12-13 weeks where a nuchal test will also be done to detect for signs of Down's or chomosomal abnornmality. Bloods will also be taken.

hi im catie and 10 weeks pregnant now i had a ultra sound when i was eight weeks the heart beat was 170 the nurse said that was good ive had friends whos babys heart rate been 163 and im pritty sure thers a wide range for a good heart rate! good luck
