Actually, according to KSL weather, the coldest day in Salt Lake City was -30 degrees on February 9, 1933.

It can be done in very close to 24 hours if you have at least 2 drivers and can average at least 350 miles per fuel stop consistently. In order to do it you will need to choose the lowest traffic hours possible. I recommend a Saturday mid morning departure from DTW, plan your fuel stops carefully and switch drivers at each stop to maintain high alertness. This puts you traveling through Iowa, Nebraska, and about half of Wyoming during the nightime hours where patrolling is pretty minimal (except through Omaha). Early Sunday morning on the freeway in Western Wyoming and Northern Utah is very light so traffic shouldn't be a problem during the home stretch.

Utah is named after the Ute tribe of Native Americans that were common in the area. The word Ute means people of the mountains, and it is said that the word Utah means mountain top or top of the mountains.

Park City is located in Summit County, and boardering Wasatch County. It is about a half hour southeast (ish) away from Salt Lake City. It is in what some people like to call "the Wasatch Back".

There is one temple in Temple Square, that is the Salt Lake Temple. There are other buildings on and around Temple Square, these include two visitors centers, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Church Office Building, the Tabernacle (where the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sings), the Assembly Hall, the Conference Center, the family history center, the church museum of history and art, and the church history and archives building. There are other temples in the Salt Lake City area, but the closest is about 20 miles away. These are the Bountiful Utah Temple, the Jordan River Utah Temple, the Draper Utah Temple, and the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple. Lake Mead: Depth-500 ft

Length-112 miles (180 km) when the lake is full,

Shoreline-550 miles (890 km)

So Lake Mead is longer but Lake Tahoe is deeper.

A couple years later, the area where there were living became part of the United States.

All of what is now Utah was inhabited by several non-Mormon native tribes for thousands of years prior to the Mormons moving in. Ogden was a small trapping and trading outpost (called Fort Bueneventura) settled two years prior to the Mormons arriving, although it wasn't much of a 'town' at the time.

Because it is part of the American West & was explored in relation to the Western expansion Of populations and industrialization of the North American Continent by East Coast settlers. However, the American West was explored far earlier in history by the Southern expansion Of human settlers exploring the West Coast of the North American Continent from Alaska to Central & South America.
