Can you delete cache off computer without hurting anything on it?

Yes you can. It will actually make your PC run faster.

Assuming you mean your browser's cache, then you can certainly delete (or clean) it without hurting anything. However, the browser cache is there to speed up the displaying of pages, so after you clean is out, your browser will render pages slower for a while, until it fills the cache back up with your commonly-used items. Browser caches are also the place where things like automatic login cookies are stored, so by deleting your browser cache, you will be prompted for a password the next time you try to access any password-protected web site.

Caches in general work this way: they are a place to temporarily put things which are commonly needed. Thus, a cache can be cleaned out or deleted without impacting the functionality of your computer - that is, they perform no ESSENTIAL function. However, they provide a (significant) performance increase, as a getting things from a local cache is always faster than getting from the original location.

If you are referring to cache memory (frequently mentioned in the specifications of a CPU chip), this cache is part of the CPU hardware itself, and cannot be turned off or deleted.

What option will empty the log of internet sites you have recently viewed?

It would depend on the internet browser you are using and probably the version of the browser you have.

In chromium, In the menu pulldown on the top right, go to settings, show advance settings, privacy, clear browsing data, select desired options.

Google chrome should be similar to chromium.

In Firefox, click History, clear history, select options you desire.

With Internet Explorer, clear history / delete browser history will both remove the current list of sites.

Some third-party software may still be able to access some or all of this information until it is erased or overwritten.

Most other browsers should have some similar capability.

It depends on the browser you use.

The browser I use is chrome, for that you'd go to the wrench icon and select tools and from there select 'Clear Browsing Data'

On IE you'd select the 'Safety' drop down menu and from there you'd pick the 'Delete Browsing Data' option.

Remember though, even if you delete browsing history websites like Google may keep track of the info without your consent. to prevent this I suggest using Google Chrome's 'In Cognito' feature.

Since Firefox version 4 to delete the browsing history click on the Firefox button in the top left hover of history, then click clear browsing history. Then from there you can select the time frame to delete and then hit "Clear now". You can also press Ctrl+Shift+del on a windows, mac or Linux machine and follow the same steps following clicking clear browsing history.

Tools > Clear Private Data...

or just press Ctrl + Shift + Delete

Tools > Options...

Then click on the privacy button near the top of the options menu, there are settings for clearing history, you can tell FireFox what to clear by default, clear whenever it's closed etc...

Click your "start" menu, then go to "control panel" where you will see the whole menu. Click the "internet option" and from there it will open where you will see " internet properties" Inside click on "general" and it will take you to how to delete browsing history. It's very easy, just follow what I wrote here..

Best example of web browsers?

Sparkbrowser to Release Web Browser in November Sparkbrowser, an independent software company based in Boston Massachusetts is set to release sparkbrowser V.1 the newest super fast browser, to rival Firefox and chrome in the coming months.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEPRLog (Press Release) - Oct 22, 2010 - Sparkbrowser is an independent Software Company, in partnership with Webkit, Gecko rendering engine, and other open source projects as well as Python and Microsoft.

sparkbrowser is a rendering engine different than ever before, it uses the power of javascript engines found in webkit, with the reliability of the security features in Firefox.

in tests of speed, sparkbrowser compared several miliseoconds faster than google chrome on a variety of different sites of varying size and type.

sparkbrowser will be available to the public on November 12th, it will have a web kit and gecko version with hundred of add ons and special features.

Sparkbrowser was developed by Christopher reeves and several affiliates to better the web as well as to generate revenue, because this browser is not open source and it is for profit ads may be displayed.

overall sparkbrowser was flawless, the design, the layout of the buttons and the simplistic and contemporary style was overwhelmingly simple, yet incorporated full functionality of an advanced tabbed web browser.

However the presence of ads and the inability of Facebook chat to fully work was a downside of sparkbrowser,

sparkbrowser had hundreds more features than chrome, and overall is more aesthetically appealing than any other browser that our staff has reviewed, the downside of the many features is that the user may be impressed with the colors and themes and overlooked the actual validity of several of the features. The custom search settings seemed forced, and i seriously doubt that anyone would be using sparkbrowser for "aerospace applications"

Christopher reeves and his affiliates have already built a site that the browser will be hosted on, of course equipped with ads, and with no community forum aside from a chat feature, this browser truly is not open source, it is a privately funded and for profit organization. Because sparkbrowser is privately built, it may be an invasion of privacy for monetary profit. as stated in sparkbrowser.com reeves and his affiliates intend to collect personal information and use it for undisclosed optimization,

i am worried over undisclosed optimization because i truly do not want my information to be seen by anyone except me, even if they completely encrypt it.

overall sparkbrowser would score a 3 out of 5 for functionality, speed , and security, sparkbrowsers mission.

sparkbrowser is very well equipped for students, socially connected people and research and entertainment, it has many apps that can be added to one of 7 custom home screens as well as hundred of thumbnail apps.

of the 5 people who reviewed this product 4 of them gave it the highest rating, however this increased speed and functionality may come at a price, privacy
