attempting to join and add comment, it seems i have registered in the past. when asked for e-mail address i get an 'already in use'. looking at the auto-fill user name, it seems correct. i do not recall original password, and keep getting shuffled back and forth. it would seem wise to delete former account and create new. also, there is a possible security breach here. i have attempted to join other forums, only to be told my address, user name was registered to someone in Cairo, Egypt--never been there. upon investigation, the forum's webmaster resolved apparently pirated data.

so, how to delete any former accounts, and create new? that would seem a simple solution, yet you provide No remedy to such, that seems 'workable'---so what to do?

Most likely your computer will be sluggish and slow. Also sometimes computers can be unstable without proper drivers. But in some cases you do not have install such drivers because OS can recognize it automatically.

To put it simply, you can't.

Windows xp is only for computers.

The disc itself can be used as many times as you like. However, unless you bought a volume license (really unlikely, unless you already know exactly what that means and are certain that's what you got), the software is only licensed for a single computer.

If you own a small business with 5 computers and bought 5 copies, you can use the same physical disc to do all 5 installations, but you'll need to use all five license keys (one on each computer).

Mine was doing the same thing. A friend told me that he changed his ignition switch and it fixed it. I bought the ignition switch (about $80). Now I can't figure out how to get it out. Got some very small star head bolts in it and also looks like the key switch needs to come out but can't figure it out.

An easy way to modify programs that launch on startup is to go to RUN and type "msconfig"

The last tab in the window has startup applications with checkboxes to turn them on and off.

When you next start your computer, it will say that you used msconfig, and if you want you can check a box on that window to not show that message when your computer starts, otherwise it will keep reminding you. The more permanent and risky way is to use regedit

I have windows 7 ultimate. I used to have this problem until I learned how to fix it here is how;

Open windows explorer. Click alt on your keyboard and go to tools and then folder options. Switch to the view tab. Under files and folders click "Always show Icons never thumbnails". After you click it there should not be a check mark in the box. Click apply and exit out. This should have fixed it.

Insert Desperados (Wanted Dead or Alive) CD.

Go to Start > My Computer (or Computer if using Vista or Windows 7).

Right-click on Desperados CD Icon and click "Open" to open the CD folder.

Right-click on Desperados application icon (file is actually called "Desperados") and click on "Properties".

In the file properties, click on the "Compatibility" tab.

Make sure the box labelled "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" is ticked > Click on the drop down option just beneath and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3).

On my computer, none of the other checkboxes are ticked.

Click "Apply" button and then the "OK" button to save changes and exit the properties box.

Then double click on the "Desperados" icon in the CD folder (that you have just changed the options of) and click install, and it should install without any error at all.

You can try doing a search for "Word Perfect" in all files or folders. Go to Start > Search, and type that in.

If that doesn't work, check out C:\Program Files\ for a folder called Word Perfect Office 12 or something similar. If that file doesn't exist, chances are you no longer have it installed on your computer. It's likely your manufacturer has included a CD with the software that was pre-installed on your computer. Check that CD and see if it includes Word Perfect. If not, contact your manufacturer and see if they can send you the CD for it (provided you have a proof of purchase, like the service tag of your computer for Dell computers).
