We see LEDs every day. They're in lotsa stuff. A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor diodethat radiates light (electoluminescence) when current passes through it in the forward direction. Electrons move though semiconductor medium and "fall into" other energy levels during their transit of the p-n junction. When these electrons make a transition to a lower energy level, they give off a photon of light. This photon may be in the infrared region, or just about anywhere across the visible spectrum up to and into ultraviolet - but we have to pick a color when we make them. That means we can get an infrared LED to work in our remote controls, and get other ones of different colors to make indicators or, in large arrays, displays - even color ones. That broadens the applications considerably (think vehicular tail lights). The device has a pair of leads, and a (usually) plastic body moulded around the leads and the semiconductor crystal itself. That way the light can get out through the plastic. There is frequently a "round dome" at the top of the LED which serves to focus the light headed out through it. Remember that it is the material of the semiconductor crystal that determines the light given off by the device. A normal LED isn't really voltage dependent. When obtaining the LEDs, a manufacturer or hobbiest specifies the color. Red, green and blue are most popular, and, though there are other colors, it might be tough(er) to find them. Note that the big LED color displays use a three-LED pixel, and by driving it (the 3-LED assembly) appropriately, a wide range of colors can be obtained. This in an introduction to the LED. An electronics student will review semiconductor fundamentals and then more closely examine the chemisty and physics of the particular p-n junction that is fabricated to exhibit electroluminesce. Verify that there is at least 1GB of free hard drive space. This available space allows the computer to have room for the swap file to increase in size as well as room for temporary files.

Download latest offline installer for Chrome. I use Filehippo. Open archive with 7-zip and rip out PepperFlash folder and pdf.dll. Place pdf.dll in chrome-win32 which I put in Program Files.

In future you can find the version just by opening the manifest.json file in the PepperFlash folder with notepad. Remember to keep it updated.

Works perfectly. Checked with Process Explorer and ppapi flash is running under the Appcontainer/Untrusted integrity level.

All drivers for Windows 7 64 Bit Home Basic can be installed within the Device Manager. The Device Manager is found in the Control Panel. Within the Device Manager, you can update drivers as well as scan for hardware changes.

There is no easy way to "switch" from one operating system to another. The easiest thing is to install Windows 7 over the Ubuntu installation if you do not want Ubuntu anymore. Back up any data you have first before you do this because otherwise it will be lost in the install process.

Most likely the driver for your graphics adapter was not found. And windows uses standard VGA driver. You need to check your video card manufacture website for drivers compatible with windows 7. I'm sure that NVIDIA has such drivers.

This is a portable free program which means no valuable hard drive space will be wasted, just keep it in your documents folder. Be aware that you need this program to join the files back together again so don't delete it

This problem is commonly encountered by persons who have had to rebuild a damaged operated system by, first, removing and attaching the hard-drive to second computer, then moving all the folders into a temporary new folder, then put the drive back in the original machine, then finally clean-installing a new operating system. When all is said and done and up and running again, then retrieve some of their documents, then attempt to delete the rest.)

Two answers:

1) highlight the the file or folder, right-click, then monkey around in the Security settings. Good look. It'll work sometimes, but many times it won't. It's time-consuming and will have you tearing your hair out.

2) Install "Total Commander", locate the offending file or folder, then select Delete (lower-right of box).

Total Commander will nuke 99% of anything you throw at it.
