If what you mean by "safe" is avoiding pregnancy, the only safe time is long after menopause is complete. Seriously. Those dangerous fertile periods vary from woman to woman, and even in one woman they vary month to month. It's also variable how long a man's sperm will live and lurk waiting for an egg to appear, depending on how hospitable the woman's chemistry is to the little swimmers. There's an old joke: "What do you call couples who practice the rhythm method?" Answer: "Parents."

"It provides protection from pregnancy within 2 weeks of the initial injection. Blood levels of DMPA remain high for about 4 weeks, then stabilize at a lower level.

You will probably be given a pregnancy test before your first injection because one study showed that DMPA users who were either pregnant at the time of their first shot or who got pregnant while using the drug were more likely to have low birth weight babies.

In general, babies are not pulled out in a normal vaginal delivery. The force of the mother's contractions combined with the dilation of the cervix propels the baby out of the uterus and vagina. In assisted births, forceps and suction (Ventouse) deliveries can be used. In a Ventouse delivery, a small amount of suction is applied to the baby's head in order to assist in delivery.

Im not a doctor but that has happened to me. I was on the pill for 12 years straight and when that happened the doctor told me that simply that pill wasnt working for me anymore. And that he would have to try me on a diffrent type of pill. I think I went through 3 different kinds till I did go off and had my baby. Then when I went back on the pill after, it was again a different pill.

Condoms, though not perfect, are generally pretty effective at preventing pregnancy. If used correctly, I wouldn't worry about impregnating a girl while wearing a condom. However, it is always a good idea to use a condom with spermicidal lubricant. You can buy the kind that already have spermicidal lubricant on them, or you can buy a tube of the spermicide separately. To be effective, the girl must be certain to apply the spermicide to her internal vagina prior to any sexual contact and to squirt it as far in as she can. I know it doesn't sound sexy but it's better to be safe than sorry right? It is applied this way because it's not effective just to smear your penis with it. The package should tell you if you have more questions about how to apply spermicide, or ask your pharmacist don't be shy. It's also better to be embarrassed and safe than sorry. Oh, and remember: CONDOMS ARE NOT AN EFFECTIVE GUARD AGAINST SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES.

The pullout method is when the man pulls out of the woman before he ejaculates. However, it is not a reliable method of contraception because he can release pre-ejaculate before he pulls out and the woman can still get pregnant from that

The rhythm method teaches couples to recognize the signs of ovulation and to abstain from intercourse during peak fertility to prevent unwanted pregnancy. In the reverse couples can also use this method to time sex correctly to become pregnant when they are ready to have a family.

If you're on Birth Control and using the Withdrawal Method then you're at the very least as safe as you would be on Birth Control.

If you look at it as a percentage though... Less sperm in the vagina reduces the possibility of pregnancy and Birth Control lessens the possibility of Pregnancy as well. So, in effect, you're safer.

The withdrawal method is another type for men but is known to be one of the most unreliable when used over many encounters. There is a lot of research money going into a male contraceptive, and one will most likely be found in the next five years. Previous attempts have resulted in drugs that had side effects that reduced a man's desire and were not well received. One promising new method involves stopping the sperm from developing the tail that helps them swim. Also, there is a type of vasectomy that is designed to be reverseable.

Condoms, like all forms of birth control, are never 100% effective. They can break, have microscopic tears or be used wrongly. So yes, you can get pregnant if you use a condom, but the chances are low.

My boyfriend and I used the withdrawal "method" thinking we were safer shortly after my period. Several weeks later....positive pregnancy test. Although it seems unlikely, the sperm that are released before ejaculation can stay in your system for several days (up to 3-4). This must have been the case for us.

It is the least effective method of birth control, if you even wish to call it that. If pulling out is your plan for preventing pregnancy, let me be the first to wish you a happy Father's/Mother's Day in advance.

It depends on your definition of "better". For someone with moral, ethical or religious beliefs that make it impossible to embrace "artificial" birth control methods, then the "natural" methods are perhaps best. Ultimately, though, "natural" methods like the "mucus method" or "rhythm method" are less effective than medical methods like "the pill" or IUDs or sterilization.

I am a female and have had unprotected sex 2-3 days prior my period, but I knew my body and cycle. Not all females are a like and lots of females ovulate at different times. I learned when I ovulate after having 2 kids, and with trial and error.. that is how I got my 3rd and 4th kids - I had unprotected sex during my period starting 4 days after and 3 days before. This will not protect you from STDs.

If you have unprotected sex whilst having a period, then officially there is nothing wrong with that. The only Downside is the Blood that you have to deal with, and possibly the smell and mess that you have to get rid of.

Also there is a risk of STD, STI, or simply, sexually transmittable Diseases and infections.

Try not to have sex whilst you, or your partner is having a period. It is rather messy and smells. Unless you have some sort of blood fetish :)

Using any time of birth control (pill, condoms, ring. etc) can still have risks. Using no form of birth control is even more of a risk. unprotected sex is NOT safe sex, so therefore it is not safe. If you really want to be safe, then abstain from sex. But if you don't want to then use birth control at your own risk. Take into consideration the possibility of pre-ejaculation.

I think you're asking about "withdrawal." It doesn't work because there's usually something at the tip of the penis.

For a woman, you can use the birth control pill, plus a condom or there are many other forms of ways for woman. Make sure you allow your mate to get to know your body. Let them touch you. Make sure you get to know them too! Most woman talk to their doctors to get the best protection. Men need to always use a condom!
